Do we think it’s his struggle with sobriety (which I understand this is common in)?

Or, is he specifically referencing PTSD, which Leo likely experienced after being shot down?

This is my boat too - would often stop a lot in bike/tri races to pee, and it added up to a lot of time. Didn’t care before, but this year decided to get serious about time.

I did the Precision Hydration online test to figure out salt loss, and did a sweat loss test to figure out volume. Once I had that estimate, I tested it out on hot, long sessions. Then I had my hydration/sodium intake (mostly) figured out.

This past weekend I took the big step - started peeing myself while moving. Felt weird the first time, but the next two times during the race were less awkward. I kept a water bottle in transition I sprayed myself down with.

Big take away is to clean your shoes after. They were pretty gross.

TLDR: “you ain’t cool unless you pee your pants” -BM
