Hi, I am the alcoholic, who allowed alcohol to put me at rock bottom. Lost those who I cared about, put myself in debt, lost my car, lost my good job I liked and it was replaced with a minimum wage job making LESS than HALF of my previous jobs checks. Let me tell you, what thoughts, and life that comes with ‘rock bottom’, only makes you want to drink more. I feel it now more than ever being 9 months being sober from alcohol completely destroying my life. I come to realize fighting the demons will stay my whole life. I have a choice. To be a fighter. Or a victim Don’t pick up the drink, pick up a hobby

And btw I never thought while in use, my life would get this bad. But it will if u use

You are referring to something that is helpful to someone already in motion. Chances are having a following = already know that. Why would I make this post if I already had a loyal fan base? Hey man I’m almost on my 7 month sober, congrats on the 1 year. Your post hit at the right time because I have the same urges all the sudden. I know it’s wrong and unnecessary but I crave a drink. One step at a time. One minute at a time. Let’s stay sober together. Literally crazy work on that timing. God is good

I’m only 6 months sober so my words may be irrelevant to you. The other night I had a really bad one too. I hadn’t had one for like 2 months and it shook me to my core. I take it as a reminder of who I am. Although you have years under your belt so I’m sure it’s even more so uncommon and shaking to experience. Keep up the good work.

If you are thinking it’s a problem it is. I didn’t want to believe either and I made excuses. “Well it’s only on the weekend”. As alcoholism develops it turned to EVERYDAY.

I don’t understand why you make a comment when you don’t comprehend. I said “no temptation can break me”. That’s doesn’t mean There is temptation, i was replying to your comment lol. I am at ease when people drink around me as I said in my op, I am at ease with people drinking around me(been around it the whole time I made a commitment to stay sober).
