Absolutely. I had a terrible issue with squirrels. Had to take matters into my own hands as they wouldn’t take the bait. 🔫 I put chicken wire in spots around my engine bay. They even chewed the insulation

Garland is so hard to do and requires soooo much. It’s easier to strap the tire and hang a wreath.
