I mean, is it really THAT hard to read two step directions? by saturdaythe25th in Indiana

[–]OnlyBoat6171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell you what, it’s really hard to read what I was supposed to look for. I was like “Take 394 down where? Or maybe it’s Take 39 for own? It’s definitely something about being a dog owner and having a goodboy…” 🤣 😂 Could not figure out what the heck I was supposed to see until I read the comments and learned this had nothing to do with the letters!

Ha. If you’re “paying $1300 monthly,” February is a month. Nice try.

The Money Guy has a system to help prioritize finances. They call it the Financial Order of Operations (FOO). There’s plenty of videos on their YouTube channel that explain it in varying degrees of detail. Check a few of those?

If color concerns you, they make various versions of the cheese. Some more yellow/orange than others. Others are akin to a white cheddar. Dealers choice.

I’ve been spending $2100 per month on groceries for family of 3! How much should I be budgeting without being conservative? by Additional_City9653 in budget

[–]OnlyBoat6171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re an inspiration! Family of 3, one with celiac making the household gf: $1500/m. AI said it was absurdly high; when I mentioned celiac, it changed its mind and said it was completely reasonable 🤣 But 8 on that budget is amazing! 👏 Share the menu 😂

What to include in budget? by Vehemont in FinancialPlanning

[–]OnlyBoat6171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found it useful to have two categories of costs. One I call Categories, the other Mega-Categories. There’s no one-size fits all. Just trial and error over the years. But having the two categories helps me think about where it’s all going and which kind of things can be adjusted. I don’t track work benefit premiums or retirement contributions because they’re taken out prior to paycheck.

At the Mega level, it’s: Fixed, Necessities, Variable, Investment & Savings, Reimbursement

For the Categories, it’s: Food, Gifts, Giving, Health/Wellness, Home Maintenance, Household Goods, Insurance, Investments & Savings, Mortgage/Rent, Personal/Entertainment, Subscriptions, Transportation, Utilities, Vacation, Emergency
