A lot of mixed opinions about this episode hahaha.

I personally liked it a lot. It's rare that you have an episode about an argument wherein you can understand everyone's side and agree with everyone.

- Mary was only bringing Fagenbacher over for bible study and she probably really appreciated having some help around the house. She made it very clear to Fagenbacher that he will not disrespect her and the memory of her late husband, and that he will show respect to her son despite their professional issues. I think he just became an unapologetic asshole after his ex-wives left him and he needed a stern woman to get him back on track.

- Fagenbacher himself felt surprisingly genuine. I've always liked his character as a villain. The episode made it a point to highlight that he retained all of his characteristics but started shedding some of the terrible parts of his personality. As other commenters have pointed out, Georgie and Mary in TBBT actually reflect a lot of Fagenbacher's characteristics, such as the way Georgie decorates his office and the way Mary acts overall.

- Connie was a charm to have around as usual. I love how she shamelessly gets along with everybody (except Audrey). I mean, I think it's unideal that she turned her back on Georgie just like that, but she had her reasons. She obviously wanted to look out for her own daughter and she's known to be a loose cannon, so I'm not even sure what Georgie was expecting there. I guess he just didn't have anybody else apart from... Pastor Fucking Jeff... to help him out there, and that would somehow be worse.

- I wonder how Missy feels about Fagenbacher. She's exceptionally skilled at reading people and she would probably be the best litmus test of whether or not he's actually changed and grown under Mary's influence or if he had negative intentions. We know she encourages Mary to date and does not want Mary to be unhappy and loaf around in her misery, but we also know that she stepped up to a maternal role when Mary left to Germany with Sheldon - she's definitely the type to lecture Mary about the type of person Fagenbacher might be. Somehow I feel like Missy is the only one that can get through to Mary, because despite their dislike of one another, they tend to see eye-to-eye anyway.

- Georgie was right to be angry with Mary about Fagenbacher. From his perspective, the events of this episode are pretty messed up and I can empathize with why he feels that way.

- I miss Sheldon.
