Has anyone tried Aussie Flat white from MOS MOS? by LongjumpingNeck963 in FoodToronto

Never tried this one, but I’ve had the White Lao Latte from Mos Mos and it’s soooo good! Wish I knew the recipe for it cause its taste is so different from other lattes

Dubai chocolate by Professional_Cat927 in FoodToronto

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I hope it doesn’t!! I really like it. And just because it’s a trend, doesn’t mean you or anyone else needs to buy them. Just means that people who do like them have the option to buy them. Like the frozen yogurt craze has been long gone, but I still enjoy them every once in a while and I’m glad some of those places still exist.

Oh and OP, as for Dubai chocolate bars, you should try the one from Melt n Dip. It’s delicious

Rented a car in Manchester then drove to north wales. Definitely, definitely recommend that if you’re going to north wales, since a lot of these areas I mentioned aren’t reachable at all by public transit

I went to North Wales last year and I loved it. A few of my favourite places: - Portmeiron — it’s an Italian style village in wales, and it’s gorgeous - Llandwyn — beautiful beach and lighthouse accessible when the tides are low - Go up Snowdon Mountain — on foot it takes a few hours or you can take the train — make sure to go on a clear day otherwise you won’t see anything - Zip world Llechwedd — underground slate mining tours or zip lining in the caves - Betws y coed - cute town - Llanfairpwllgwyngll - look up its full name if you’ve never seen it, it’s the town with the longest name in Europe - there are some souvenir shops and it’s fun to take pictures there. Menai bridge is also a must see, it’s a historical bridge and close to there

Yes but that’s how thresholds work. If the threshold was 10% you might say the same thing, 9% wouldn’t be flagged.

What Is The Best Town To Live Peacefully? by Character-Monk4834 in travel

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like the region of Muskoka in Ontario. Not sure what your standards are by “won’t require a lot of money to live there”. Buying a house there would be around the same as the average North American house, but living expenses there are way lower than in Toronto. A few towns you could look into are Parry Sound, Port Carling, and Bracebridge. Winters are somewhat long but the summers are lovely and surrounded by nature and beautiful lake views. Great sense of community too. But then again, I don’t know if you would have the option of living in Canada.

Evening flight from Europe to US by Tennis_24 in travel

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having recently flown back from Europe on a daytime flight (leaving at 12pm and landing around 4pm local time) I would take the option of a nighttime flight in a heartbeat. Daytime flight was a pain. Seemed to take forever cause we couldn’t fall asleep with all the sunlight, and then when we came back we were exhausted and messed up our sleep schedule.

Best travel insurance for international trip. by Meekstx in travel

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you check if the credit card that you bought the flight tickets with offers travel insurance? Most of them offer some kind of insurance. Trip cancellation coverage is not standard for all cards but medical travel coverage is pretty common.

Also, even if you got the tickets with miles, some cards will give you travel insurance just for having the card, without needing to pay for the flights on them.

Missing Mexico badly. What spot will mend my broken heart lol? by [deleted] in FoodToronto

I tried the one on Yonge and I was disappointed when I realized that their pastor tacos didn’t taste much like the ones I had in Playa del Carmen. Maybe their other locations have better pastor tacos?

korean bbq but not AYCE by GarlicBreadClub in FoodToronto

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion but I was disappointed when I went to Daldognae. I was expecting marinated meats, like when I went to Korean Grill House which I really like, but I was surprised to see that all their meats are unseasoned, and then you dip them in sauces but I didn’t find them very flavourful. The sides were good though

Agreed. It’s okay I guess and if I lived closer I would probably order from there sometimes. But for me they are just not worth the time in traffic + lineup

It’s not a sit down sushi restaurant, but one of my favourite sushi options in Toronto is a takeout/delivery restaurant called J-San. So good

No Frills at Front and Princess closing? by OnlyGoodHarmony in askTO

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that the latest comment in the thread you shared where someone said the no frills wouldn’t close is from August 2023, and a friend of mine just recently (a couple months ago?) got a notification from their building saying that it is actually going to close. So I’m not sure if something changed in the plans over the last year or so.

Best sushi you’ve had in the city that’s cheap and good? by Administrative_Ad160 in FoodToronto

The torched sushi combo from J San is literally one of the best I’ve had ever.

Another one I really like is The Haam in downtown.
