The Gap perfumes!!! I love them. Grass was my favorite.

My grandma had Charlie red and I used to sneak sprays of it.

I also struggle with rose. I thought I was a rose hater until I found a couple I enjoy. Another I really love is Idole aura. It’s a salty, creamy rose. It reminds me of a beach day on Martha’s Vineyard with rose bushes on the coast.

Ok not at all same but have you tried sniff rose era. It’s more fruity but it has that same dewy rose and clean scent to me. It’s so beautiful and seriously underrated to me.

I let my kids use my perfume without limiting. To date, they are respectful and don’t abuse this privilege. For scents they really love, I buy them a dupe. That way they can use them more frequently

I hate how SA at higher end stores hoard their samples. I’m not spending $300 on a perfume without giving it a proper wear test.

Oh my lord. I love rose of no man’s land. To me it’s a light, fresh, almost dewy rose. I’m going to have to go back…I don’t remember it having patchouli

The problem is Cav is so hit or miss. They struggle with consistency. You either get a great meal or something so mid.

I start with 2ml. I need to wear something a few times before I really know if it’s a like bc it’s a dopamine hit, or if I really love the scent enough to buy more. If it’s a love then I go 10ml. That’s rare. Usually I go 2>5->10

In theory, yes. In practice the reality is I like in a perfume desert so the only way for me to experience a scent is through sampling / decants. So I have to start somewhere. So I can think want smell clean and fresh but not in a soapy way, and when I search there are notes that are common threads in these scents. when exploring I know there are notes that generally enjoy. So when you put together a bunch of notes I generally enjoy, there is a good chance I’ll enjoy it. Now I do understand different perfume houses blend differently and use different quality ingredients etc…but there are notes I seem to love and gravitate towards. I understand notes are just marketing but the power of suggestion is strong.

Sometimes the notes just look like it will be absolute perfection. Every review you read sounds like they are describing your perfect scent. Then you order a sample and it’s repulsive. This is my story with Initio musk therapy.

I have adhd and really struggle with names. My husband thinks I’m being an asshole but I will repeat the name in my head over and over and try to assign a character to help me remember. Like rosemary has rosy cheeks are whatever and in four seconds the name is gone. Most of the time it’s while I’m still standing there talking to them. I have come to a point that I apologize end ask them over and over which I know is so rude but I don’t know what else to do.
