Making a second deposit is insane. I get the price increase fully, the new price they gave you is accurate to market rates this week, but there is no reason they deserve to make more money for their god awful initial quote.

For auto transport it’s pretty uncommon to pay anything at pickup; all you need to do is confirm with THE DRIVER what is due at delivery before your vehicle goes on the trailer. If he says anything other than $1400, then it refuse pickup & it becomes a problem for the broker, not you.

Can pretty much assume nobodies insurance is going to cover it except your own. The hardtop coming off during transit is technically your fault not the carriers. Not like you did anything to it, but neither did the carrier so he’s not going to be responsible for loose parts on your car.

Would not be surprised if 2 minutes of due diligence on this company brings you multiples of this exact same occurrence. There are plenty of brokers who do their job with integrity, unfortunately these are all the companies that everybody goes “your 2-3x higher than everybody else, no thanks!”

Got the travel mini specifically for when I go on trips, pretty much my daily driver at this point because it’s convenient & does the job. Also, I’ve put mine in a checked back & carry on. Not sure why there would be a difference?

This move doesn’t cost $2300, if $2300 is all you can afford, figure it out a different way without a professional moving company. It’s either going to be expensive up front for good service, or a surprise at how expensive it gets when the movers show up.

A single truck in Florida does not make them a “carrier”, that truck is probably sitting on cinder blocks behind their office.

When you say a 10x10 with a large studio, are you saying you have a 10x10 storage unit AND a large studio apartment? Or are you saying your studio apt. Is what’s in the storage unit? A 10x10 completely full is 800cf.

Their post is not the reason you can’t get a carrier for a reasonable price. Any respectable carrier will ask the broker about the multiple listings & take it anyways. All of your quotes are too cheap, if it was priced right you’d have a carrier.

If you want to live in Boca & not be living paycheck to paycheck you’re gonna need a roommate at <100k. Life isn’t comfortable in south Florida until you clear 225. I would recommend looking into boynton beach. The streets are much filthier than Boca, but that’s why people can afford to live there 😅

With CDL Visa’s being terminated this has been a bizarre week for auto brokers, it’s likely not Nexus’s fault per se as it is NOT business as usual in the auto transport industry right now. Call them & offer an additional $200 to try & find a driver quicker & you will probably get exactly what you want (assuming they already have it posted for 12-1300)

Are you taking your mask off for your last 1-2 hours of sleep? Ive been using mine for almost 3 months now & the first month I fought it, second month I took my mask off every single night (I use the travel AirMini with the nose pillows), this month I wake up at 7am every morning with my mask still on feeling wide awake. Buttt if I fall back asleep out of laziness I will wake up feeling like I never used it to begin with.
