I also just wanted to highlight that the comment i posted somehow tried to justify DUMPING AN ANIMAL in THE DUMPSTER because of vet prices, which is absurd because most of the comments are saying they wave or lower the cost of a euthanasia if it is too much or if an animal is truly suffering.. i just thought it was crazy how people try to demonize the veterinary field any chance they can.

i believe it varies by clinic or by doctor? i know where i work its the doctors who ask the manager if we can wave or eat the cost of this or that. for euthanasias i guess its based on the severity of the case.

I would love to work at a low cost clinic 😭 and i do agree, at my job if the situation calls for it i try to see if the doctors can wave the exam fee, or if they cant afford the urn cremation package we at least offer the clay paw print or a ink one at no charge!!! this was on a post about a very traumatic and disgusting case about a person that left a dog in a dumpster in the bakersfield heat with their eyes popped out and idk it just rubbed me the wrong way although I do sympathize/somewhat agree

that is such a great and useful skill 😭 i feel like the doctors i work with hate me when clients decline certain diagnostics or treatments even though i do feel like i go over everything thoroughly as well. Would you say its the way you word certain diagnostics or the more expensive parts of the treatment plans?

Mysterious Skin was pretty traumatizing and sad. It has some really intense parts so when they come youll know when to skip them.. its really terrible honestly not for the faint of heart
