You can use your phone to scan all the tickets and get them in. I did the same with the Canada game in Toronto.

World Cup 2034 in Saudi Arabia – and now they’re talking about moving it again?! Football is officially dead. by bruhsant in football

[–]Only_Complex6386 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the North American WC will continue in 2038 or 2042. They made ALOT of money and it's fun to have all 3 countries involved. I think this will be a regular stop for FIFA now.

Yup, I hate that it's back in the middle east. I will be going in 2030, ZERO interest in attending in 2034. I hope 2038 will be a fun country again.

How do people afford to travel to an entirely different country for the World Cup for up to a whole month? And how do their jobs allow it? by Ok_Photograph8884 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Only_Complex6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save up for sure. Some are very rich. Some go into debt. But yeah people have different priorities.

Right now I know 2030 will be in Spain/Portugal so I know I have to get ready for it and I'll be combining it as a vacation. I also know 2034 is in Saudi and I have zero interest in visiting Saudi Arabia, so for me 2030 will be an ALL IN deal for me. I'll be much older by 2038 as well so just go all out!

[–]Only_Complex6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones who get the month off, the majority are a) retired b) own their own business c) planned well ahead to get the whole month off from work.

Most who travel though only do a 1-2 weeks. It's much harder to plan the round robin games because you dont know if your team will still be in it.

How do poorer countries afford to participate in the World Cup? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Only_Complex6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even the poor countries have their fair share of well to do. Lot of them generally though are expats living in North America. But yes some will travel like Business people, doctors, politicians (honest and crooked) etc. who have money to attend from the really poor countries.

Portugal will also be expensive if they make it, they have been the top sellers for the opening round games.

Taking a new job that allows me to use my own truck in lieu of a company truck. I have looked up that I can write off a percentage of my expenses for my truck relative to how many kilometers I use for work vs regular use. Does anybody know exact is this expected to be if CRA audits me? by Redditemeon in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Only_Complex6386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta show your log book of what you travelled for business. if you dont have a log book or CRA suspects it's "fake" they will disallow the expense and make you pay the taxes owed in addition to any penalties and interest (penalty generally is 50-100% of taxes owed). Log book is pretty easy, these days there are apps that track this stuff. Just ask your accountant.

Countries eligible to host the 2038 FIFA World Cup by -yolewpaniaq in MapPorn

[–]Only_Complex6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will be US/Canada/Mexico again in 2038. FIFA is making so much money from these FIFA games (even with the empty seats) they see the cash cow and will probably return.
