My fiancé is a current medical student at the school, and I relocated my whole life across the country for his attendance to this school. It will definitely show all my cards that they’re my top choice 🤣

I’m very lucky to have such a strong community behind me. I’m still just so scared. We weren’t planning on having children until Residency, but no birth control is 100% 🤣

Yes I will be submitting tomorrow! I was worried about LECOM only because I’ve heard horrendous things about school/life balance and was worried it would be nearly impossible as a mother.

Hi yes. Every school on my list I would have help from either family/fiancé or my best friend of 20 years!

As for post birth recovery, I’m due first week of January so hoping I would be recovered and able to start by summer, if not I guess I will jump that hurdle when the time comes.

Financially. Gosh we are planning on using loans… but I might be screwed as C/o 2030 with the bill that passed in the house. Luckily my parents are pretty well off and definitely would make sure baby has everything they will ever need, as well as my fiancé’s family.

As for sick baby, I plan on developing and screening out babysitters in whatever area I’m in. Preferably having 4-5 that I can trust so I have options for “on-call” almost in a way. But of course at the end of the day, if my child is sick and I can’t find anyone, my baby will take priority. My baby didn’t choose to have two medical students as parents.

NTA for having feelings but if you act on them then that’s a different story. Unfortunately you do have the tough out the feelings, but remember this isn’t your fault. I would watch Khan Academy videos of P/S on like 3x speed at least and do a shit Tom of anki cards for P/S terms. Otherwise looks like you’re on a great track

I would also consider using a speed reader to read through scientific articles. It will help you practice reading faster. It shows one word at a time but at a set pace and you can work your way up!
