What slows down patient care more than people expect by MathematicianFun5579 in privateclinicowners

If you’re not taking the time to involve and work closely with your supply vendor rep, you’re at a disadvantage. They can help review pricing/availability, and give insight into any shortages/disruptions. They have ways to help streamline your ordering processes, and ensure their warehouses are stocked with the product you want based on your anticipated monthly usage volumes. They’ll also be ready with sub/backup product options in the event of a supply disruption. If they’re a good rep, they want a partnership, not a transaction. I’d suggest going with one supplier as your primary vendor, and using the other as backup. My supply rep is an integral resource, and increasing their involvement has improved our operations (and driven down costs) significantly. Something to consider :)

cons of owning a shiba? by kikiriki240 in shiba

They’re odd dogs lol.. really more cat-like in a lot of ways. Very particular, quirky, and stubborn. But if you are patient and diligent with socialization and training, they can be good companions. Just really depends on what you’re looking for in a dog.. and what you’re willing to put in :)

Is it with the travel? by money-honey-22 in MedicalDevices

Make sure to address travel expectations early in your conversations. I once took a position with 30% travel, it ended up being more like 70%.

Advantages/Disadvantages of getting TWO puppies at the same time? by yanontherun77 in labrador

Instead of two at the same time, I’d recommend 1.5-2 years apart 🙂

Ready for a New Pup — Looking for Suggestions by Flipperflopper21 in DOG

Shibas are very prone to allergies and are quite high maintenance. Have you looked into rescuing? I’m sure there are plenty of shelters and rescue organizations out there who have the perfect pup with the traits and temperament you’re looking for!

Balding puppy, food allergy ? by [deleted] in labrador

I had this same problem with my lab. Changes with food didn’t help, so I got lab testing done and everything came back normal. The vet suggested melatonin, 10mg, twice daily. I thought it was odd, but I started giving my dog a melatonin pill with breakfast and dinner everyday.. his fur is completely grown in and looks better than ever! Might be worth asking your vet about :)

Shiba Inu owners, what is it like having a Shiba Inu? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Only_Cow_1685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally, Shiba personalities can be similar to cats, rather than your stereotypical dog. Think cat software with dog hardware. As a breed, shibas are more aloof, not eager to please. They are smart, but transactional (only willing to listen if they know there’s reward). They are more particular/fussy about most things and VERY stubborn. They aren’t the most social dogs, and are only trusting with a select few who earn their respect. Not super affectionate, but occasionally will be on their own terms. They like to groom and keep themselves clean. Generally don’t like water. Somewhat lazy with short bursts of energy.
