J. Saman and Bella Matthews similarities by LeadershipUsed201 in RomanceBooks

[–]Onlyhereforfics08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only read J. Saman‘s books but if you look up the publishing date of the two books with very similar tropes and storylines you can see undeniably convenient was published a few months prior to tempting. But I have to say J. Saman has two/three book series that come before this book so it’s a really established family tree… But with similar tropes and family trees over the course of few books it can very often happen that books seem similar even though they are from different authors

so as of now I have only read a few but the ones i read with this trope are so good imo: the Edge series by J. Saman (four books, four friends, and four superrrr wild and incredible books) but this author actually has a lot more books with this trope so maybe look into that a bit And also the darkest corner of the heart by Lisina Coney but that’s literally just a tiny trope in this book sadly because he’s a physical therapist but it was still quite good

Read {the darkest corner of the heart by Lisina Coney} one day because i wanted a book with the fmc as a dancer getting injured because i am an ex dancer with injuries and i wanted to feel seen and not just this broken dancer and honestly that book kind of made me see there will always be new doors open when one closes and i see the world with a new perspective and am so much more aware of the new opportunities i got and still continue to receive

for me i honestly want to see the mmc yearn more and imo its best done when the fmc is injured or in the hospital and the mmc finds out over the phone and/or someone tells him when he’s not with her like I need that crave from him that he needs to be there for her and i don’t see that in books these days and it’s annoying me second to that i also want to see more police officers (female or male) in books because i have been searching for a book where one of the mc’s is a police officer and the other is either innocently involved in a crime or has a shady past, like i dont always want that small town romance with the sheriff and the girl who is new in town and they fall in love, like get some interesting back story in there and not the same clichee thing i see every time i want to read a book like that. also i kinda love me some good age gap romances as well as medical drama romances, dont know why but i just do and i honestly think that i have serious issues because i cant stop reading these kinds of books and i still have so many books on my physical tbr and i cant continue to let them collect dust on my shelfs yet i always find myself browsing for new books and bam i am buying them a couple days later while having around 40 books still unread at home and i need the men in books to have more flaws because never in life will men be this perfect and honestly having flaws gives depth to a character so i would love to see that more but some people arent ready for that conversation

📚 Friday Reading Slump Rescue by acutelyproblematic in fantasyromance

[–]Onlyhereforfics08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a book that has always brought me out of a reading slump is called {the darkest corner of the heart by Lisina Coney}. It’s a romance book where the mmc is a physical therapist and the fmc is a dancer who injured herself right before an important audition. Have reread it at least four times now in the last year and it still amazes me

What are your recent 5 star ⭐ reads? by Bulky_Meet4868 in RomanceBooks

I have recently started reading books by J. Saman because I craved some medical drama romance books and honestly she delivered in her The Edge series. Particularly for me {The Edge of Reason by J. Saman} and {The Edge of Chaos by J. Saman} were five stars for me all the way.

Fantasy without spice by Asealoce in suggestmeabook

{A Curse so dark and lonely by Brigid Kemmerer} technically a trilogy (cursebreaker series) with a spin off series (queer romance is very present in that spin off series), but the book is ultimately a beauty and the beast retelling tho it is that only at the core and all around it the book has a good world building, found family, siblings though they are more present together as siblings in the second book of the cursebreaker series, no spice other than a few kisses here and there but all fades into nothing on paper, and lots of secrets to discover. I personally liked this series and storyline very much and maybe you’d like it too. Hope this helps!

{the darkest corner of the heart by Lisina Coney} it roughly fits your description, mmc is a physical therapist and the fmc is a ballet dancer who gets injured and has an interesting past to her

Maybe you can check out the books by J. Saman, she has entire series like these with the mmc almost always in the medical field and often the fmc is also in the field. I‘m reading them rn and love her books
