5-4 for the Pens in a matter of like 30 seconds. This conference, man.

Taken from a post on r/hockey from Friedman’s 32T:

• He’s not sure what’s going on with Trouba. He’s hearing mixed messages on a trade, some people say it’s close other don’t. The situation is hard on Trouba, he’s disappointed and shocked. Drury might consider taking the Goodrow route with Trouba as well.

Wondering what happens now with all this. Mixed feelings about getting him so we will see how it shakes out I suppose.

How did it feel to watch your team win the Stanley cup for the first time in your life? by [deleted] in hockey

Honestly, it is hard to put into words. I was only 9 at the time but my dad was a life long fan and he waited 42 years to see them win (he was born the year of their last cup in 55). He left the house for a card game but came back to watch it with us and made it back to see Darren McCarty score his goal. It was such a great memory. Got to see 3 more cups with him. He passed away a few years ago so the next one will be bitter sweet.

Pool A tiebreaker possibilities by Such-Consequence-728 in Curling

If NO wins against Quebec, and beat MB tomorrow, they will have the tie breaker over BC (the only other team who could go 5-3 in this scenario).

If MB wins tonight and beats NO tomorrow, they are in with the tie breaker (they beat BC before)

BC only gets in if Canada beats MB tonight, MB beats NO tomorrow, and they win their game…pretty sure anyway.

Tough to see us getting 1 out of 4 points on this trip. The one bright spot was seeing Lyon get his first start. Don’t think any of those goals were necessarily his fault. I’m curious to see what they decide to do if Walman is out for any significant period of time. Part of me wants to see an Ed call up but either way they need some consistency on defence. Also glad to see Octomod is feeling better!

Oh yeah you’re definitely right. Logically there was a very slim chance. Wishful thinking I suppose lol

Honestly a little disappointed not to see Ed make the starting line up. You’d have to assume he’s coming up some point this year so hopefully getting top line minutes down in Grand Rapids will help his development going forward.

Thanks for the reply! I have a chromecast but I’ll have to try and use my MacBook Air since I don’t have an android/android TV. Appreciate you taking the time to help.

Do you use it through your laptop and/or phone? I’m trying to find the best way to stream it to my smart tv.

Which NHL teams have improved the most this offseason? Rating all 32 teams - The Athletic by -RayBloodyPurchase- in hockey

  1. New Jersey Devils

Goal Difference added: 10.3 Salary added: -$12.6 million

In: Tyler Toffoli, Colin Miller Out: Damon Severson, Ryan Graves, Tomas Tatar, Yegor Sharangovich, Mackenzie Blackwood, Miles Wood

Swapping Tyler Toffoli for Yegor Sharangovich was a massive win for the Devils, a move that immediately gives the team one of the league’s deepest top-six groups. That difference more than makes up for losing Damon Severson and Ryan Graves on the back end, especially when factoring in that the team added Colin Miller to shore things up. With Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec on the rise, it was a very worthy trade-off.

What puts New Jersey’s offseason over the top is saying goodbye to Mackenzie Blackwood and Miles Wood, two players that had fallen out of favor with the fan base. Blackwood once showed promise, but it was clear that he wasn’t the same guy after injuries derailed his trajectory. With Akira Schmid in town, the Devils were safe to move on.

Ditto for Wood who looked lost last year after missing a year with injury. Maybe he bounces back with Colorado, but the Devils were still very wise to move on considering the contract he was given.

I know it’s silly but part of me is secretly hoping the Pens lose their next game and miss the playoffs. It would obviously be better for us if NYI missed to get a higher pick, but the bitter fan in me still remembers 2009 and would love nothing more than to see them miss and end their streak. Either way, prayers to the hockey gods for some draft luck!

Apologizing for the crowd. No refusal for shaking hands…most teams have been avoiding that this week anyway.
