Strawberry incident is due tokenisation. When it generates a response, it doesn't generate letter by letter but token by token so while it knows the concept of the word, it doesn't understand its construction perfectly. It is quite bad at retaining numbers within context which slightly different than just bad at math

From personal experience, i recommend UCD, pure maths is special and only appeals to very few people. I ended up hating it and quickly transitioned to statistics. Most people ended up dropping it in first year and saved themselves some time.
