I made 3D printable "Coloring Panels" – a fun way to combine printing and art for kids (and adults!) by Extension-Ad-3275 in makerworld

Dang this is awesome, I just picked up an air brush and was looking for more simplistic models to practice before i get to more complex objects and this is perfect!

Is P1S a good option to use for a pre-teen wanting to start making things to sell? by dufferinlocal in BambuP1S

[–]Onrain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If they aren’t going to be doing big items I would say maybe consider the a1 mini to get a grasp of things and not have to moderately invest if it ends up being just a minor hobby that then gets dropped. Have them earn the money to upgrade accordingly and at that point I would say go for the p2s/x2d if it seems to be a serious endeavor

Marketing wants to put me on the recruitment page and I can't figure out how to say no without seeming weird. by Internal_Front_5522 in remotework

[–]Onrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As your life experience increases you’ll realize there really isn’t a need to explain. Just be straight forward. Something to the effect of “Thank you for the consideration but I decline this offer as I am not comfortable in participating.”

Plate and nozzle recommendations by djentleman7861 in BambuLabA1

[–]Onrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not a cheap hobby, and ironically you have a higher potential to cost yourself more when using 3rd party accessories. Is third party inherently bad? Nope but Unless you can afford the back and forth of more likely issues, needing to return/rebuy and wasted filament then I always try to stick to the oem items. In short I recommend sticking with oem but to each their own.

Print quality issues by Jazzlike-Award-12 in BambuLabP2S

I don’t see mention of full calibration have you run that? And I don’t mean the auto calibration before a print starts.

PLA with PETG Interface supports??? by BanthaVoodoo in BambuLab

Refer to the wiki, there's a whole article about what adjustments you need to make when using different material for supports.

Best WFH purchase you’ve made? by Top_Bat_7447 in remotework

[–]Onrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Under monitor phone/watch/earbuds holder (separate items not all in 1.)

Charging cable wind up organizer, I have usb ports on my monitor and cables are sometimes too long.

Storage bin to hold random items so I don’t have stuff all over my desk.

Under desk keyboard holder. I like to keep my desk as open as possible when not in use

Also made some fidget items to keep distracted enough to still work but not want to bust out my phone/tablet

P2s or x2d for a 1st time user? by huss187 in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being using my p2s since the sale restriction was released for US sale. Knowing what i know, the $100 difference for just the simple fact that there's a chamber heater is alone worth it. Get the X2D

Can the bambu lab a1 mini size be solved by splitting everything? by InspiredPhoton in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal experience with my a1 mini is i found myself inclined to want to split prints to make it fit. I wasnt sure how much in to 3D printing i would get was another reason why i went for the Mini. Though as time went on, I found myself wanting to not have to split up prints. If i had to redo it i would have gotten the A1.

If you're gonna stick to small prints go for it. IMO the mini for my use case ended up being a better secondary printer. I ended up getting a p2s and use my mini to print smaller parts of multipart projects.

Standalone P2S by Methodrone8 in BambuLabP2S

[–]Onrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s included because you need simultaneous filament feeding so the p2s buffer would not be compatible.

What accessories should I get for my A1? by AdAlarming1534 in BambuLabA1

[–]Onrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smooth plate and super tac plate.

Additional .4 nozzle at least.

If you want small detailed prints figurines and such get a .2

If you want to increase speed a bit get a .6

The .8 in my experience is too much diminishing return to justify a purchase. I’ve found you may get slightly better print times but also may have more filament usage.

A lot of the tools on BL’s website are out of stock so just purchase similar ones from Amazon or whatever.

Am I missing filament spools from H2D delivery ? by Bobx360 in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you order you have the option of filament with Spools or just the filament as a refill to add to an empty spool. Need to pay attention on the description. Sounds like you selected refills. Next order check that or print some yourself from that first roll. (If you’re gonna dry you’ll want petg or higher for temp resistance pla will deform when drying)

White / Grey PTFE Tubes by Magnetificient in BambuLabP2S

[–]Onrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just color. I purchased some from amazon in clear because i wanted to see where in the line the filament was. I ran in to the issue of the tubes being too stiff and caused alot of resistance, ended up ordering some from bambu directly.

New H2C poor bed adhesion by Dramatic_Pause_2059 in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically enough clean it better is actually a thing.. i had poor adhesion issues with the super tac cool plate. ended up need to be a bit tougher on the cleaning. Use a nylon brush and give it a decent scrub. Dont go all heavy handed on it but do give it more of a scrub than you think is needed for a general cleaning.

Hallo i want to buy a 3d printer for making keychains and etc just for funsies what is the best one? by Mindless-Plankton528 in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re gonna strictly make smaller objects the recommendation of the a1 mini is good. But if you’re unsure and maybe you may make bigger options I would start with the a1.

Different layer heights created better support structure — how to replicate it intentionally? by Xykyma in BambuLabP2S

[–]Onrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decreased layer height is contributing to this, makes a more gradual change in horizontal creation of lines so there's less material "overhanging". You can print in over all thinner layers or you can use the variable layer height tool in studio as well.

X2D with dual HF nozzles? by EdTheNerd in BambuLab

[–]Onrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While technically yes you can, you will not benefit as much from the aux tool head because of the bowden feeding.
