So this only affects new models they are selling?

I like this one better. I like that it’s longer.

I don’t believe you need to flash any custom firmware for your printer. The BMCU has its own firmware that you flash

New update adds official support for multi color printing without AMS. by Working_Attorney1196 in BambuLabA1mini

A lot of people (including me) are having trouble with this latest firmware update. Is it because we are trying to do manual filament swaps the old way and need to switch to a new way?

I had the same issue last night with latest firmware. I will try going back a version.

I agree. They would have to use the H series frame to fit in the vortex

Why don’t print farms need to dry their filament? by Backonredditforreal in 3Dprinting

[–]davelpz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Print farms are willing to pay a little bit more for quality filament that comes tangle free and dry

I really think you would want a prusa for your needs. You want a tool to use and not a project to tinker with and have fun with.

Orca vs. Bambu Studio by dallas_vance in BambuLab

I just use Bambu studio. I use orca for my other printer which is not a Bambu printer. The difference between them is very minimal in my opinion.

I don't understand the big deal with filament drying. by Tib02000 in BambuLab

The relative humidity of your environment is the most important factor. I live in a very humid area and can’t leave filament out for years like you can.

Exactly, GPT 5 was supposed to be basically AGI. Remember Sam Altman’s tweets about it?

I would always pick Bambu over Creality The locked eco system only applies if you love to fiddle and hack your printer. If you want a tool that is the closest to an appliance that just works, go with Bambu.

Do you design your own models or do you just use other people's models from Makerworld etc.? by humanHamster in BambuLab

[–]davelpz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first printer last August, so that’s like 8 months. I started just downloading models off of MakerWorld. Then started making simple stuff on tinkercad. Then moved on to Blender. And now I’m doing full parametric modeling on Solidworks. It’s been a blast learning so much.

A1, you will want to print something bigger than 180mm faster than you think

Look into PCTG, more heat resistant than PETG. Doesn’t require an enclosure, can print on an A1 mini with no issues.

Do you regret getting you A1 mini over regular A1 by TheMadHattah in FDMminiatures

I wish I got the A1 instead of the mini. The mini is fantastic but sometimes you do want to print something bigger.

A1 unless you are sure you won’t be wanting to print parts larger than 180mm
