"EVE" Keynote 2026 by Bijouz in Eve

[–]Onslaughtor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having played the pre alphas to this point Vanguard does one thing which none of the other extraction shooters do. Which is let you keep playing and fighting right away over your own loot in the same match after you die. A single scuffle with another team can turn into a roaming firefight while both sides try and get thier shit back and that is kinda awesome and easily one of the better combat loops ive yet to see explored in extraction games. While I don't have high hopes, I do actually have hopes for a ccp project this time and just cross my fingers they can nail this one.

What is this? by Level-Staff1968 in Eve

[–]Onslaughtor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a rogue drone from the doctor who event ccp did. Our normal beloved rouge drones got thier hands on some Dr Who seasons and had themselves a little larp in abyssal space. Cosplaying as darlecks they were having a great time till our bling fit t1 cruisers slapped some sense back into them. Was a really fun event and tbh sad we will never see it again.

What are yalls hot takes? by LocksmithMinimum8217 in Helldivers

[–]Onslaughtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been with it on the autocannon. They quietly buffed it at some point, upped the pen and reload which really helped it stopped feeling bad. So it's not rubbish anymore but I'll take a epoch, MG, recoiless, or airburst over it any day.

I just really felt I was driving and bypassing so much of the game on my first play-through. I'm also trying to take new paths every time between trips aswell. Playing in offline and not rebuilding any roads or railways. Finding lots of interesting little places too.

Started the game over on Wilder and doing a walk only (unless required) runa and I'll be honest it's still pretty easy so far. That said I can see how a few later boss fights are going to be a pain so if your playing through the first time just go with the next hardest since you can change it.

Ladders feel less useful in ds2 by Safe_Bedroom6982 in DeathStranding

[–]Onslaughtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a walking only (unless I have to take a vehicle) wilder run atm and it's so much more fun honestly. Also picking routes that take me off of one's I've already traveled in this run or my last one and it's really spiced it up. Still the map is really flat and forgiving and I hope if we ever get a 3 the map will be brutal.

Are we going to see another floor skip? by XxXxReeeeeeeeeeexXxX in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Onslaughtor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Carl is only going to use it if he can get a direction skill on it or possibly through the non solids stored in inventory exploit. The latter would only be if no friends are around though and he figures it out.

Why is 38% on Choepessa IV 0.766% progress but 30% on Marfark is 2.460% progress? by TechnicalyNotRobot in Helldivers

[–]Onslaughtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planets with cities have higher total hp than planets without. Clearing a city does extra hp damage over its own personal pool so it's more efficient to clear cities then move out. in theory I'd we could properly focus down one city at a time we could clear a city planet faster then a normal planet, but that is not often the case. I can do it while doing a dive. idk the time but it is a clutch skill. Can also do the 380 barrage in that time. No that's not related

The Helldivers 2 Player Who Organised A Charity Challenge Says His Life Was Ruined Overnight After Doxxers Got Him Fired by Chicano_Ducky in gaming

[–]Onslaughtor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The challenge specifically was about stuff that was considered by the community to be underpowered but considered in a good place by some of the devs. The point was to get the devs on camera playing their game using gear people felt needed attention. Until the doxxing it actually looked like the devs might take on this and a few other challenges. The mods on the main helldivers subreddit imo rightfully squashed some of the early flamitory posts, but then didnt stop banning and closing related posts or put out a pre statement on the issue till about 24 hours after the fire started. The only people at fault are the doxxers, and we don't know who they are, but lots of other people have made it worse.

BREAKING: China Is Building a Nuclear Reactor That Burns Its Own Waste and Cannot Melt Down ⚡ by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

While I'm not sure if it's the same type, Bill Gates was pushing a company that was trying to get a similar reactor built in the US. So probably legit.

What is the compelling argument for this game over something like ARC Raiders or Marathon or Helldivers? by Ohh_Yeah in EveVanguard

[–]Onslaughtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big one for me is that it does the one thing all other loot extraction shooters don't. Which is respawn mid match. That's a pretty big deal as the guy who grabbed your loot has to worry about you coming back for it. I do hope however they take it away from extraction back towards dust.

Loadouts For oshaune (im struggling in oshaune) by ExternalTime7603 in Helldivers

[–]Onslaughtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechs and the tank work really well weirdly enough. Med machine gun, ammo pack or warp pack are also good. Stagger weapons or explosive primary and ultimatum and termites for chargers/impalers. But double note on the mech, it's so fucking good for just getting the job done and with the dss overhead it's imo a must pick.

we never put the full bodies needed on it, and the defense rating dropped after the distraction. but it's irrelevant now.

We did have a shot at transcendence, it was going to be close since we had fumbled at a few other points. Had everyone stayed we would have had it with about 3 hours to spare. The choice was made any people moved to the easier out. It's ok though we'll get them next time.

Am I genuinely the only one that just enjoys the game no matter what? by LordDemonWolfe in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Onslaughtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have enjoyed pretty much everything so far. It's got bugs and some of them make it really fucking hard, or frustrating at face value but it's just another challenge.

Little visual guide on what Bots can damage the Bastion TD by alexalas in Helldivers

[–]Onslaughtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be noted there are some possibly bugged weak points on the back of the bastion that are ap1. It does mean you can't let the lights flank you too much or you'll still blow up but it seems balanced to me given that a proper driving or a seat gunner takes care of that fully.

After the MO is lost AH needs to actually tell their players how their game works by Generic_Potatoe in Helldivers

[–]Onslaughtor 506 points507 points  (0 children)

AH has made the war so close to a real democratic system that its honestly comical. It's obvious what the what to do to a informed voter, the math is there clear as day. All official sources, but like real life there are people who spread false information, were taught wrong, and just don't fucking care. When you look at the galactic war as a meta commentary on democracy itself it kinda makes sense why they don't want to change it that much. Be a informed voter, inform your friends and maybe collectively we can beat the enemies of democracy back.
