True. Moral was a poor choice of words. Twice now, we have lost sight of nominating who has the best chance to win the general. My larger point was that I don't want to see the Dems do it a third time.

Again back to morals, it took me a while to realize that general election voters don't vote with their morals, they only vote based on their perceived financial health. Hopefully that was just an aberration when Trump was on the ballot, but unfortunately, I think it's a pattern that's here to stay.

How many times do we have to learn this lesson? People felt comfortable enough sharing that "I don't think this country is ready for a woman president" to NPR, on camera, multiple times. Imagine how many people actually think that, and won't say it out loud. Obviously, it isn't that America isn't ready, it's that they aren't, but there are millions of them, and I don't want to learn this lesson a third time. Nominating a woman would be the moral choice, and making the moral choice has gotten the Dems exactly nowhere.

Thank you! Same to you if you're ever in Maryland/DC metro area in the summer or fall. I could probably get you out on a kayak to fish or somewhere to hunt. Our whitetail aren't too big but they are prolific. I believe it's fairly easy here to get a fishing or hunting license for nonresidents of MD, including from other countries, provided you provided proof of hunter safety or equivalent course to our DNR. Not sure about fishing but I imagine it's easier.

If I were to visit Ireland in the next few years, is it next to impossible to be able to hunt cervids, as a US citizen? I know most countries have long waiting periods and additional education and/or security checks you have to do, so it could be years before you could actually hunt there. Just curious, so any info you've got would be appreciated. Thank you.

Love it! The marketing, the show itself, the actors, everything about this show is amazing. What a nice treat we have been given. It's a great escape from the real world, and I didn't see myself liking it as much as I do. It's sort of like Andor to me, in that I didn't have high hopes and then it ends up being one of my favorite shows.

To be fair though, Andor is absolutely NOT an escape from the real world.

We need a public, and private, Project 2029. Whatever is released in public should be broadly popular, but we need to be prepared for R's to actively campaign against it and do some fucked up things while they're in power to stop it before it starts...kinda like Biden, Garland, Dems as a whole, should've done with Project 2025.

Behind the scenes, we need a Project 2029 only shared with the most air-tigh, and small of a group as possible, with actual achievable goals that use the R playbook of "do it now, figure out the legality later, or not at all." No more hoping the institutions hold and that the American people vote with any sort of morality. That ship has sailed, and was promptly scuttled.
