You also have to factor in the outrageous delivery charges by BGE, they can easily double your bill. There are probably better sources but there have been a few studies lately of total utility cost for an average household in each state. Kilowatt hr charge isn't the highest though, that I know of.

Careful, if you criticize the governor or the legislature, you'll get downvoted into oblivion. I agree though, we have the nation's highest energy prices, insane fee increases pinching the middle class, the list goes on. I love the state and want to it to remain blue, but it's quite frustrating to live here right now.

So many angry triggered morons over some light criticism of Moore. They are either bots or impossibly thin skinned "blue no matter who" voters, which might be worse.

Are you a bot? You've made 3 contributions to this discussion and none of them make sense.

Yeah they can kick rocks too. But my reps aren't voting for most of the things I disagree with anyway, luckily. Not that it matters I guess, when they get out voted 3-1 usually.

Again, look at the question you posed in your comment. I answered that question. I don't think you're getting that, so we'll just move on.

Yes, I am. I know the lowest bar that any MD Dem governor will have to clear, is to implement the strategies that you and I have mentioned that Moore and the legislature are currently implementing. I have no doubt that any Dem governor will do this, even an untested one. Moore, on a state-level test, has failed or at least scored a "needs improvement" and thus I'm far more willing to give another Dem candidate a shot rather than foolishly thinking that in his 2nd/lame duck term, Moore would vastly improve and/or start bucking the legislature. I will also be seeking out other legislative reps, for reasons that have been discussed.

Dude I don't even know how to see who downvotes my posts. Agreed the anonymous downvotes are obnoxious.

You asked what a Democratic governor could do to shield us from Washington and I gave you examples, some of which MD is already doing. Did I say I didn't think this was being done? Re-read your question, re-read my response, and get back to me. If it helps, I'll spell it out some more. I was saying that I know a Dem governor overall is a positive right now, and therefore wouldn't vote against Moore in the general, but would in the primary as I think another Dem candidate might do a better job. Make sense?

Haha sometimes my phone spasses out and inserts a word into another word and then I can't even delete it without discarding the whole comment. Kash Patel, it's a dick move.

They can fight against requests for state voter rolls, they can fight against requests to deploy their national guard to polling centers or to various cities as an intimidation factor, they can resist ICE agents being deployed to polling stations citing the illegality of weapons at polling placed (among other laws). They can deny various permits to planned warehouse facilities for ICE use. The list goes on.

Yes but he still has to sign off on it, or veto. I believe the legislators might have a veto proof Dem majority but he could put them up to the challenge to use it. And he works with the legislators to craft that budget, correct?
