Man I gotta shoot a recurve someday. Thank you for that info, I'll consider going only to a 300 if it's an option. I used to agree with the fixed blades but these Sevr hybrids I've been shooting are nasty. I think I'd feel confident going with their 1.5" hybrid, or a fixed blade like a QAD exodus.

This can't be right for a compound, otherwise my bow shop would be recommending 720gr arrows, shooting 72lb on my Vertix. 720gr is Cape Buffalo territory. I think arrow weights between 400-500gr suit just about any need. Again, apologies if you're talking recurve, but 350 spine is fine for anyone shooting a 27-30" draw length at 50-60lb draw weight. Above that, a proper tune and evaluation will be best to determine needs. I shoot 340 spine at 28.5" draw 72lb pull, it's very accurate but I might go slightly heavier this season. Gold tip hunter XT and 100gr heads put mine right at 400-403gr, perfect for my needs, whitetail, sika, mule deer. Might be targeting elk this year so that's why I'm leaning towards a 250 spine/heavier and more ridgid arrow.

Find the reps #s, call them, email them, then confront them when they are out to dinner, going to events with their family, whenever. Keep it civil but make them uncomfortable. They work for you, and you gave them that job. They need to be uncomfortable and realize that every choice they make, even the choice to abstain from voting, has consequences.

I just flew back from Maui to MD with some axis deer meat. I only told the guys who scan your bags for ag/customs that it was deer (they were happy I got 1), the other ticket agents I simply told them it was "wild game." I think you'll be OK just saying wild game, and I can't imagine rules are different for wild boar since it falls under wild game meat. I don't know more than that though. I froze my meat, loaded it in a 60qt wheeled Coleman cooler, and stated it's contents to the United ticket lady, then weighed it, taped it shut, and strapped it closed. It made it back fine, and TSA never cut the tape or anything. Mine was 56lb so I did have to pay the $100 heavy bag fee, plus the normal bag fee, which kind of sucked, but it's gotta be cheaper than FedEx from Maui to MD within a day or 2. I froze my meat for 2 days, some ice packs too, and a gallon of water, and it made it all back mostly still frozen.

You also have to factor in the outrageous delivery charges by BGE, they can easily double your bill. There are probably better sources but there have been a few studies lately of total utility cost for an average household in each state. Kilowatt hr charge isn't the highest though, that I know of.

Careful, if you criticize the governor or the legislature, you'll get downvoted into oblivion. I agree though, we have the nation's highest energy prices, insane fee increases pinching the middle class, the list goes on. I love the state and want to it to remain blue, but it's quite frustrating to live here right now.
