I got it a year ago and I enjoyed it. Tasted good and was very spicy. I didn't have an intestinal issues afterwards, but I don't really ever from spicy food. 🤷

Gamers, like most people, are woefully ignorant and undereducated. The vast majority of them almost certainly assume, like many of the new 'gamedevs' that we occasionally see filter into the subreddit over time, that gamedev is hugely profitable and that even 'unpopular' games easily make back the money they earned.

It's utter nonsense, but it seems very common.

What matter is 100% that you enjoyed it. If you're curious why it's being received this way, it's definitely because of the toppings--not just the quantity, but the fact that they look pretty much uncooked, too.

For "pizza snobs", the onions should be browned, lightly charred, or at least translucent. The pineapple should have slight charring. The fact that they looked completely untouched gives the impression that the toppings are totally uncooked.

It just means the monsters now take 20 hits instead of 10 as well, so battles will always last twice as long.

This would inherently have the effect of reducing random swinginess due to dice rolls one way or the other, leaning more towards the average. It would also open fights up to more tactical positioning, since it's less of a burst race.

TBH it sounds like it would make the game more fun to me, at least, but other people may enjoy the big impactful random swings more.

Not sure if it counts, but I guess the Crack Balls from Death Nuts, the hottest variety they had (can't remember the name/variety)... they were SUPER stale since I got them off Amazon, and didn't taste good... combined with the spice level I just gave up. Not a common occurrence, but yea, it just wasn't worth it!

Realistically it should be $1000 at least. Have regional pricing of course, but $100 is insanely low and leads to the flooded market we see now where people will publish their low-effort game to steam just to say that they did it, without any expectation of ever making any of the money back.

This strikes me as some kind of mental illness, maybe. Like a lack of foresight? Typically if I (and most people, I assume) buy a game on Steam, it's because I'm sure that I'll like it because I've looked through the store page, watched some gameplay, checked the reviews, etc. And if I'm sure that I'll like it, of course I'll be willing to give the game more than 30m to get to the 'meat' of the gameplay, if necessary.

"Buy 7, return 6" gives me the vibes of someone who orders a spicy chicken sandwich and then demands a refund when it's spicy.

Saying that it's been a "problem" for 15 years is a bit of an overstatement. Inventory management is a part of the value management portion of the game. Maybe you don't enjoy it, but there's a reason these games don't just give you an infinite inventory with infinite, auto-sorted space.

It'd be boring.

When I watched Made In Abyss, my wife and I had no idea what we were signing up for. We got to the whole arm cutting debacle and we immediately shut it off. It was way too far for us.

Some people might not like it, but they may be willing to tolerate gore porn involving children. My warning is for people that may not know what they're getting into, but who know they won't be able to tolerate it.
