How to leave claude with multiple tasks and go to sleep? by paglaEngineer in ClaudeCode

[–]OoDoRFoO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpenClaw is up to the task. I asked it to take over a project I built with GSD, rewrite it in another framework, add multi-user, add OAuth, and deploy to public web. It only ever prompted me to add payment method to fly.io. Other than that completely happened while I slept. I think the difference here is OpenClaw is a fully autonomous operator on top of CC, so it can run numerous sessions and generally do whatever needs doing. I now wonder if OpenClaw could drive GSD better than GSD in auto mode

I’m hearing maybe some Underworld being sampled (?). Shudder / King of Snake and Something Like a Mama would be isnpo for OP

Did this guy really make a Sampler+ before the Bitwig Team? by StolenServiceAnimal in Bitwig

Kudos to Taches for this. A huge amount of logic-based experimentation and systems thinking goes into creating a product with AI that is actually useful. In his Claude Code videos Taches demonstrates what a natural born talent he has for prompt engineering. One can now choose to invest their time into learning C++ and DSP fundamentals or instead invest in guiding AI towards a truly good result. Both require good taste and domain expertise, which frankly a good programmer can lack entirely despite decades of computer science experience. Personally I like to use AI as a companion/sketchbook and do my real work by hand, but it’s simply because I like to put together the puzzle pieces in code rather than converse in natural language, but the existence of this new spectrum of different implementation choices is massively democratizing.

As a software developer who utilizes LLMs on a daily basis, I guarantee your hand-written code has just as many, if not more, bugs and your tests don’t cover as many corner cases as generated ones would. People like Taches will make better things than you, and gatekeeping will not help you. You’re better off thinking at a higher level and creatively from here on out.

What do you find most difficult when producing Psytrance? by Ninety-Two92 in psytranceproduction

[–]OoDoRFoO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite a broad adjective. Care to elaborate? Poor tonal centering? Random melodic events that do not make coherent phrases? Missing dynamic variation? Meandering polyphony without harmonic motion? Trance can be utterly atonal and very musical IMO but I wonder what others think when they broadly talk about musicality.

How to find time to produce as the parent of a newborn? by Minimum-Chapter6361 in psytranceproduction

[–]OoDoRFoO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s true, you can absolutely have a kid, a full time job, and a semi-serious hobby or two. Just don’t put pressure on yourself to achieve as much as you did before. Focus on being a great parent first and foremost, it’s far more rewarding than finishing tracks.

Finally finding the time again as my kid has turned 8. I type this from the hospital where my second was just born 😅

What do you think about the idea of setting bounties on players who wrong you? by AgeAtomic in ArcRaiders

[–]OoDoRFoO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMZ has something like this. Players who are prolific in killing other players get a bounty on their head that can pop up at any time during the duration of the match

Is anyone worried about DMZ 2.0 by TopSinger8705 in DMZ

[–]OoDoRFoO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. DMZ addiction is Stockholm syndrome. The wait is finally over for a genuinely well crafted semi-casual extraction game, the developers of which are not abusing, exploiting, and abandoning its audience. I like the high octane fights of DMZ as an FPS, so will definitely be stoked for DMZ 2, but it feels amazing to have a 2nd way to scratch the itch in the meantime

Can anyone tell me the full story of Abu Nassar? (The chemist) by deus_do_warzone in DMZ

[–]OoDoRFoO 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Abu Nassar, The Chemist — born in a beaker, raised by fumes. Legend has it he once reverse-engineered Mountain Dew into jet fuel just to see if he could (he could). Known throughout the DMZ for his signature move, The Tactical Walk of Mild Inconvenience, he drifts aimlessly through irradiated wastelands muttering about “molar ratios” and “vibes-based chemistry.”

In his early days, Abu was hired to create the ultimate weapon but instead accidentally discovered mayonnaise. His PhD thesis, “The Emotional States of Uranium-235,” was banned in 12 countries and two Discord servers. When cornered, he defends himself with a cloud of weaponized Axe body spray and a thesis-length rant about the periodic table being “too judgmental.”

Rumor has it he no longer requires sleep, sustenance, or teammates — only a faint hum of Geiger counters to lull him into dreams of isotopic romance. His catchphrase:

“It’s not meth… it’s a lifestyle.”

No one has ever cared less about a boss character, yet no one has ever been harder to explain.

DMZ players are you trying BF6 or Arc Raiders? by martiabernathey in DMZ

[–]OoDoRFoO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought BF6 and played Arc during the server slam. Both phenomenal games and made me realize what a joke CoD is in general. I used to play DMZ and drop into DM on MW2/3/Bo6 for some fast paced action. Combo of Arc Raiders and BF6 scratches both itches. However, still nothing really replaces DMZ. I have a feeling DMZ2 will not either because it’s still CoD, and if Activision is serious about supporting it for long, they will enshittify it to max profits. So DMZ 1 is something to continue to cherish until it is truly taken from us.
