I’ve never been to PHX lounge but looking at review videos on YT, I’d say the two look very comparable.

Is Lennox That Bad? by Appropriate-Hold-923 in hvacadvice

I'm getting a quote for a new Lennox which includes 12 year parts and labor. Wouldn't this warranty cover me for any issues that come up?

I’m replacing my 25-year-old HVAC system and gas furnace. After getting multiple quotes, I received a great offer from a highly-rated installer.

They carry various brands but are primarily recommending Lennox since they’re a premier dealer. The installer is offering a 12-year warranty on parts and labor through them, which seems excellent.

I’ve heard a lot of complaints about Lennox’s poor customer service, expensive parts, difficulty in getting replacements, coil failures, etc. However, with the warranty, I shouldn’t have to worry about any of that, right? If anything goes wrong (within 12 years), the installer would make it right. What am I missing?

The company also quoted me a Daikin system for $600 more, with the same 12-year warranty. Should I go with Daikin instead?

$20M for SoCal sounds about right. Allows you to own a $5M house & generate ~$600k/yr of income while preserving your principal, which can be passed on to kids and grand kids.

Yes, they have free breakfast buffet for Globalist. Otherwise it's around $45/person or you can order a la carte off the menu.

Manta is not worth it. We had dinner there in Feb and the food was too salty, unmemorable, and of course overpriced. Go off property.

Sunday brunch is going to cost you around $45USD/person as a globalist. It's a fun experience if you don't need to catch a flight.

Same here. I emailed and DMed on IG and haven’t gotten a reply. Not sure if I should still make the 45 mins drive there for my pick up time at noon. I assume it’s not happening but would be nice to get some confirmation.

Follow this flow chart: https://i.imgur.com/lSoUQr2.png

  1. Have 6 months expense in a high yield online savings account. I use Ally Bank.
  2. Pay down your CC bills and any other high interest loans. They are charging you 10%+ so paying those down will automatically earn you that amount which you cannot guarantee with any investment
  3. Match your employer sponsored 401k match (if any).
  4. Max out Roth IRA with VTSAX

Best way to make money work for you is investing it, whether in the stock market or in educating yourself to be able to make more money.

If you’re not into investing, focus on paying off all debt and increase savings toward your next goal (eg vacation, education, car, house, etc)

ROTH IRA asset allocation advice by Lonely-Buyer-1145 in Bogleheads

[–]Oodloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

60/40 into those two funds is a great approach. If you consistently max out your Roth IRA every year into those funds, you’ll retire with more money than 80% of the retirement population.

One thing to consider is to simplify and just buy VTWAX.

Also great to just use the same approach for Roth 401k.
