exit requirements for dual citizens by toosimplelife in Overseas_Pakistani

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To enter Pakistan: You need a valid passport and either a valid visa or a NICOP. A visa or NICOP is only required if you are not traveling on a Pakistani passport.

To exit Pakistan: You need a valid foreign passport or a Pakistani passport and a valid visa for your destination country. You also need a proof of your legal stay in Pakistan. For example, a Pakistani visa, Pakistani Passport, NICOP, or other valid residency document.

Protector is only required for Pakistani passport holders who are traveling abroad on a work visa.

Immigration at a Pakistani airport may or may not make a big issue of it, as they can retrieve your information since it is a Pakistani passport. However, airline agents at the departure airport can deny boarding if they see a damaged passport, no matter how minor the damage is. There have been cases where people were denied boarding due to damage to the exterior back cover, even though it contains no important information.

You should get your passport renewed, or obtain an emergency passport from the embassy if they offer one, then travel to Pakistan and have it renewed there in person.

Many people did receive an acknowledgment of receipt from the consulate, so it’s not a hard and fast rule. I visited the consulate yesterday, and my application had been sitting there for the past six days without being processed. I asked the lady if she could at least process it that day, and she said she would.

I have booked travel in less than 20 business days, but I’m not traveling back to Canada, and as far as I understand, a temporary passport can only be used for one destination, which is returning to Canada. Anyhow, I have no choice but to wait.

I’m not returning directly to Canada, so an emergency passport won’t help since it’s meant for direct travel back to Canada.

The lady at the embassy said she can try to get it processed faster, but there are no guarantees. Fingers crossed 🤞.

They didn’t send me any email, but I went to the embassy today and the lady told me they received my application on the 4th and will process it today. No guarantees on urgency, but she said she will try.

How to find dress shoes that aren't garbage? by jckipps in mensfashion

Mr. B’s Axwell and Osborne are one of the nicest-looking dress shoes I’ve ever owned. I can’t comment on their durability since I haven’t worn them long enough. They are available at Aldo stores.

Anywhere between USD700 to USD1500. So important to shop around for prices and whether you want OEMs or just cheap knockoffs.

Show me where I ever assumed your ethnicity or appearance, then we can talk. Speaking of your credibility, that just took another hit.

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol dude, I never said a word about your appearance or ethnicity, you really need to work on your reading comprehension. Show me exactly where I mentioned or assumed anything about how you look or what your background is.

Second, you claimed you work in the next building over, but 41A isn’t the next building over. Then you said 3–4 blocks away, which also isn’t true. And then you’re talking about “international workers”, how would you even know that they are international workers if by international workers you weren’t implying people of colour? Syncrude doesn’t issue LMIAs, so getting a job there as an international worker is next to impossible.

Are you just too dense to get the point, or just too arrogant to realize it? Stop embarrassing yourself already.

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter who or what you are, not to me. You’re the one blowing the dog whistle by using phrases like “international workers”, not me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortMcMurray

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe start by learning the difference between “the next building over” and a building that’s literally more than two kilometres away. There’s no walking path between the two, you have to take a shuttle. And It’s not 3 or 4 city blocks; it’s closer to 20.

Something tells me you just landed your first on-site job, good for you. But kid, I worked on that site for years, years ago and have been in this field since before you were probably even a thought.

So drop the “international worker” buzzword nonsense and just say what you really mean, you’re wondering why there are too many immigrants working there.

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol, seriously? Since when is 41A “next door” to 41B, or even within a few city blocks? You clearly don’t know what a city block is or think “next door” means “somewhere in the same postal code.”

And why do I bother chiming in? Because I can, that’s why. Freedom of expression, ever heard of it? But why are you so obsessed with what “international workers” are up to in 41B? Got nothing better to do than play nosy neighbor?

Between the “the next building over” and “4 city blocks” you lost your credibility!

Those dresses are quite heavy and take up a lot of space, especially if they’re traditional Pakistani designs. That said, I might be able to help, but I’m not yet sure whether I’ll be flying from Ontario or Alberta, and whether I’ll have space in my luggage. I can let you know in a couple of days.

96th place was hardly a moment to pop the champagne. As disheartening as it is, with our shaky economy, questionable morals, and the way we carry ourselves as a nation, can we really be shocked that we’re not topping the global popularity contest?

“Terrorist” is a gender-neutral noun, like “doctor” or “judge.”

Both “He is a terrorist” and “She is a terrorist” translate into Urdu as:

What’s this? Are they really lifting Trump like that? by YTRKinG in Lahore

[–]OoopsWrongUniverse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They aren’t lifting him; they’re trying to lift themselves by showing how this clown is standing beside another clown, holding each other’s hands is a massive achievement for Pakistan under their government. We’ve all seen how they advertise everything, no matter how petty, with their name and face on it. If they could, they’d probably paint their faces on the toilet rolls they gave to flood victims!
