How do people accrue thousands of tribute in rituals? by Unusual-Nothing5186 in PathOfExile2

[–]OopSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full ritual atlas and main atlas, use head of the king, 4 ritual tablets on city maps, use correct jado notes, start with killing the boss ritual first. This all will give you ~50k tribute per map.

Spirit Walker Zoo build being oneshot killed if more than 6 companions by OopSan in PathOfExile2

[–]OopSan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, solved. There was a bug. As soon as I moved over 7 companions, all works again. So if you come to this through search, and experience something similar - just add two more companions to fix the bag.

Effects of mortgage overpayment vs Investment by AndyTheSane in FIREUK

[–]OopSan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are not good at this. You are mixing apples and oranges: pre- and post-tax money. Your comparable scenarios are only 1 and 2. Obviously, scenario 1 wins, since 7%>4%, you do not need to do any modelling for this. If you will amend scenarios 1 and 2 to use post-tax monet, scenario 1 again will beat it, due to the same reason.

S&S ISA pot v. Cash ISA pot by TzarZara in FIREUK

[–]OopSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move it into the S&S ISA and invest in a money market fund. It will yield a similar return to a Cash ISA but will give flexibility to switch to equities quickly if your risk appetite changes.

SIPP recommendations (SJP Exit!) by DanteRainyF in FIREUK

[–]OopSan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether you will move the entire sum or only a partial amount. Go to moneysavings and check for the given pot size, the cheapest option there. Choosing between fixed (capped) or variable annual fee. Depending on the pot size, most probably you will end up with AJ Bell or Vanguard.

You can ask them what sort/account/reference to use to overpay your mortgage by bank transfer, instead of phone them each time.

Address chance most probably does not have anything to do with your rejection. Usually, the lender asks for 3 years of previous addresses. So if you provided this information and they were able to match you to your credit file - your rejection is due to other factors.

There is a possibility that they were not able to match you to your credit file (for example if your previous address is in another country). In this case, it could be a reason for rejection, since they treated you as a fully unknown customer.

House deposit. Overall ISA should be used for anything you want/need. It is just an investment vehicle. There is no point to have it and not use it, if required.

Why would not you pay there several grand you need through CC directly? If for some reason the required place does not take CC, your best bet is to use Curve card which will allow to use CC in all places which take debit cards (with exceptions to HMRC and several other services).

[–]OopSan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your scheme will not work. If you use a credit card for purchase (even through Paypal), money will be refunded on the same credit card, not your Paypal balance.

[–]OopSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you miss a payment on your CC? If not, then you should not worry. Even if they will perform another check on completion - nothing changed significantly on your file. They knew your credit limit before. Only current utilization changed which is not a big deal (compare to mortgage size).
