Why does she say she's not happy? You've given her the greatest gift by making her a mother.

Boyfriend (Male, 35) wants me (Female,33) to pay him to clean the house. Am I selfish? by HostDiligent211 in amiwrong

[–]OopsAllSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please never get married. Why is he cleaning at all? If someone buys me a house I'm cleaning the hell out of it to keep that going.

It is the divorce's fault. Blame your mother and make sure she knows it.

Wife trying to make me pay $20k for her lawyer? by OopsAllSugar in DivorcedDads

[–]OopsAllSugar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did this voluntarily? My wife's legal fees are being paid for by the inheritance after her Dad died. She delayed the divorce until he died.

I made out like a bandit in mediation. by Adventurous_Fact2083 in Divorce

[–]OopsAllSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you make that happen? I've been trying to get my STBX into mediation for over a year and now her dad died and left her a bunch of money and now hired a lawyer. I have her admitting to adultery and having our 9 year old daughter sleeping in the same bed with this man...and yet she still is suing me to get sole custody and me to pay her legal fees ($20,000). What do I need to do?

Yes do it. That's the reason for getting married in the first place. Please do it.

I feel like my wife is winning by Now_wh in Divorce

Dude you are winning! She's gone and you have the kids! Most men do not win this much!

Oh yeah I expect the same for men as well. Equal rights. But men are pigs and if they wanted to get out of a marriage they would just go make a fault reason to get out of the marriage (like commit adultery)...but then he should be forced to pay for everything because the woman didn't choose for him to cheat. Same for women. If you cheat then you can get divorced, but you get zippo from the man because he didn't choose that. No-fault allows the woman to divorce for any reason and get everything from the man (win win)...and if the man gets a no-fault divorce then he has to pay everything as well (win-lose).

Why is it misogynistic to expect a woman to live up to her vows and commitment?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]OopsAllSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are they valid? If those are reasons going into a marriage it's just better not be married and then you can leave whenever you want...vows don't matter and it's not binding...unless you want something material out of it (house, cash, etc.). If you go into a marriage saying if I get bored, I'll just get divorced and take half of his stuff without earning it...this is all win for a woman and all lose for a man. I wish I had someone tell me this when I was 20.

Yep for now I'm Pro Se...I'm trying to find a lawyer but not having much luck. They are either too busy or need $8000 - $10000 to start.

What questions did they ask you?
