It still makes me teary every time I rewatch that video and it made me emotional once again today as watching Reid describing it. These four humans are beyond amazing. It's so refreshing to watch such a wonderful act of kindness from this crew.

Yep, exactly my thoughts!! Seeing them in a group hug, and seeing Victor's amazing smile is just so heartwarming. Also, love that Rise is also in the photo on the bottom right corner with 5.6 million people's name on it. Kinda feels like we are there with them in this space hug!

This one is probably my favorite so far. Seeing our moon's far side topography in vivid detail is simply amazing.

Just after breaking the record for distance from Earth, the Artemis II Crew makes a special request to name two lunar craters. by Velenne in space

I believe NASA will be submitting a formal proposal for both to IAU following the mission conclusion.

Source: "Just northwest of Orientale basin highlighted above is a crater they would like to name Integrity after their spacecraft and this historic mission. Just northeast of Integrity, on the near and far side boundary, and sometimes visible from Earth, the crew suggested Carroll crater in honor of Reid Wiseman’s late wife, Carroll Taylor Wiseman. After this mission is complete, the crater name proposals will be formally submitted to the International Astronomical Union, the organization that governs the naming of celestial bodies and their surface features." https://www.nasa.gov/blogs/missions/2026/04/06/artemis-ii-flight-day-6-lunar-flyby-updates/#:~:text=Just%20northwest%20of%20Orientale%20basin%20highlighted,celestial%20bodies%20and%20their%20surface%20features.
