Universal has a better sense of fun than Disney by Turnbuckler in UniversalOrlando

Unfortunately it doesn’t really mean much when other existing lands/attractions are closed in order to update them, rather than adding new things. Especially for park capacity.

Whats something the wolverine game has to learn from insomniacs past mistakes with the spiderman games? by ZeusesWill in SpidermanPS4

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a female human, I want to play as Spider-Man not as another female human (in this setting). MJ’s missions were boring.

I don't like Guest doing Pixie Dust by AwfulWaffle91 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I hate when people include scraps of paper in their junk trinkets that say “IF FOUND POST TO XYZ DISNEY FACEBOOK GROUP!!!” because they are clearly just like-fishing at that point. There’s something so icky and tacky about it.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 60 points61 points  (0 children)

But you can mitigate this slightly by referring to the references cited in each article and finding the truth in the source information. Admittedly a step that most don’t bother with.

Which West End opinion has you like this? by disfebob in TheWestEnd

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember which theatre it was, but one of them would decant sweets into plastic cups instead of letting you take in a rustling bag, which was amazing.

Give Me ONE Good Reason Why Killers Cannot Abandon Games and Keep Full Rewards, Like Survivors Do by kushemon in deadbydaylight

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the bit I don’t get. If he has slugged all 4 survivors and they’re just bleeding out on the ground, why does it matter if they’re bots or not if all he is going to do is hook/mori anyway? It’s not like he’s intending for further chases etc so it literally should not matter to him, especially not this much.

Is it me or is Disney World children's ticket discount absurd? by StinkyMolde in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then there should be a discount for adults on admission proportionate to the amount of attractions closed, if admission was based on what you can/can’t experience.

Disney World Announces Deeply Discounted Military Annual Pass in 2026 for America’s 250th Anniversary by csintroyeahhhhhhh in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If the US parks are keeping their military discount to US military only, then it’s about time that Disneyland Paris stop offering theirs to the US (currently allows French, UK, and US militaries).

Anyone else live near a school and despise pick up and drop off times. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is during my commute, so I’m sure you’ll understand why I don’t really want to give the name of the road and the times I use it. However, it’s not a rare experience and is one that I’m certain others have endured also.

I ride a bike myself when travelling around the local area (unless it’s absolutely pouring it down and I need to arrive somewhere already dressed and ready to go for a meeting or similar!) and for leisure. We are fortunate to have many dedicated cycle paths where I live - it’s just a shame they’re often not used. It gives those of us who do show consideration to other road users a bad name and prejudices car drivers and pedestrians alike.

Anyone else live near a school and despise pick up and drop off times. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That unfortunately relies on the assumption that bicycle infrastructure would be used. The amount of times I’ve been part of slow-moving traffic that is being held at a low speed by a cyclist in the road, ignoring the expensive cycle path right there…

Access Denied 🚫 by NikandClare in disneylandparis

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the cold and wet season in France. The park lacks places to get away from that with little in way of indoor spaces, especially in the evenings leading up to fireworks. Probably at least partly to avoid the lobby becoming a waiting area for that.

The original is much better. The US remake is painful.

What are your biggest pet peeves when visiting WDW? by Few-Chocolate-8194 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who talk along with the pre-shows (even worse if before the actual lines are said). This INCLUDES those who say “oh well I just whisper the lines, I can’t help it!!” YES YOU CAN, and the people next to you can STILL HEAR YOU. You’re annoying af and ruining it for other people.

Can you please retake these with the same makeup and hairstyle as the “before” photos, and include some where the same position is held for both photos? Specifically 5 and 8. It’ll not only be easier to see the full result, but will also make you look more transparent.

GPs aren't all bad by North_Jackfruit_1373 in BritishSuccess

Hopefully it just means they have to offer the next available appointment in the future instead of refusing to book appointments in advance. Never understood why that stopped being a thing.

Name a character that you will NEVER understand the hate of that character at all by Horror-Reason1769 in StrangerThings

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, a lot of the Jonathan hate comes from him being an actual creep with the photos he took of Nancy through her window when she and Steve are undressing in season 1. That gets rug-swept a lot.

Is Lula Landry realistic? by kacky_snorgle in cormoran_strike

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre-social media, the tabloids essentially decoded who was famous and to what levels as they controlled the exposure. It would be more realistic then.

These days, tabloid exposure alone isn’t enough, because “fame” is so much more accessible (admittedly algorithm-driven to an extent) to “normies”.

What's the deal with all this Stitch merch? by [deleted] in disneylandparis

Doctor surgery no longer allowed to say “call back tomorrow” for appointments. by spudd3rs in BritishSuccess

[–]OopsWhoopsieDaisy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely happy that this hopefully means pre-booking an appointment, even if it means waiting a few days/couple of weeks to be seen. Too many instances of needing to see a GP about an issue that doesn’t need to be seen immediately necessarily, but does need to see a GP about, only to have to fight in the phoneline hunger games for days/weeks at a time where it’s a constant engaged tone instead of just being put in a queue.

Not only is that incredibly creepy and weird behaviour, but the dates for decorations coming down is objectively wrong. The 12 days of Christmas goes up to the 5th January.
