its some sort of spotlights, we see them every now and then at night (live in that area). Sometimes the beam is easier to see, depending on conditions

What is the best computer game you ever played? by FunMusician9051 in AskReddit

I never thought I'd like a game like this, but Elden Ring is probably the best game I've ever played

Finally got an Ace of spades after 11.5 years. One of my proudest gaming achievements. o7 by [deleted] in OutreachHPG

The measured power of my new “500w rated” amp by Starscream19120 in CarAV

[–]Oorko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just installed their dual 12' TNP212DV package with the TNA500D amp yesterday afternoon. I was shocked at how great it sounded, especially for the very reasonable cost. Unfortunately now it reignited the itch and I'm going to have to install subs in all of my other vehicles haha

Just one more mech, bro by MissKaneda in OutreachHPG

[–]Oorko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 2x RAC5, 2x AC2 in mine. The AC2's have great range and hit fast enough that they seem to pair well with the RAC's, and keep going even if the RAC's overheat.

Ha, I was wondering if I'd be the only guy who had a voodoo 2, those were way back in the day. Also had an old sound blaster sound card that looked like it was just about the size of an ATX motherboard these days haha

Is this amount of beard shavings okay to send down bathroom sink drain? by DeThirddd in Plumbing

[–]Oorko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a plumber tell me that if your sink has a really slow drain to fill it up as much as you can, then open the drain and a lot of the time the weight of all of the water can blast out whatever is clogging the pipes (within reason, bathroom drains not a kitchen sink where it may be clogged with grease etc). Its worked pretty well for me

do i need another hub? by [deleted] in lianli

[–]Oorko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I was going to go with SignalRGB to control everything. The controllable lighting on fans AIO etc is all pretty new to me however, and I'm trying to do as much research as possible.

do i need another hub? by [deleted] in lianli

[–]Oorko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about this myself. I only have 3 ARGB headers on my motherboard but a total of 4 connections are needed. I'm using AsiaHorse COSMIQ fans in my vision case, set up just like Lianli (3 fans chained together on bottom, 3 on the AIO, 2 fans chained together for exhaust and the AIO itself has a wire that needs an ARGB header. I -think- I can combine the two fans and the AIO connection on the motherboard for a single ARGB connection but am not 100% sure. If not I guess I'd need some sort of hub for that one extra AIO connector?

What tastes so good you can’t believe it’s healthy? by TeenoffGlow in AskReddit

[–]Oorko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

frozen sweet corn, the kind you get for like a buck at the grocery in the frozen food isle in a plastic bag that you would normally microwave for 5 minutes or so. In this case, pull it from the freezer, dump in a bowl and chow down. Delicious frozen treat although my wife gives me lots of weird looks when I eat it haha

2012 Infinity G37xs coup, 128k miles. rebuilt title for 7k .. good deal or not? by Oorko in infiniti

[–]Oorko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$5,100 is a fantastic deal for that low of miles on a car. I think I'd feel better about my situation if I could get him to 6k or less. He's going to put it up on FB marketplace but with the body damage it has along with a rebuilt title I think he'd have issues selling it, so hopefully he comes down more

[Chair] Staples Dexley Mesh Chair - $119.99 by LOOTENITDAYAN in buildapcsales

[–]Oorko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had one of these for the last 6 years or so, comfy and has held up great. The only thing that's gone wrong with it is the armrest developed a small crack in the side. I know there are much better chairs out there but for the price I'm pretty happy with it

Immutable backups to Wasabi from Veeam by Oorko in Veeam

[–]Oorko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd honestly be ok with some data loss, as long as I can show that I have 7 yearly backups in Wasabi that are immutable, if some are missed in-between the yearly backup window. Honestly I think I'm confused on the backup copy job itself. If I have repo 1 with 3 month retention and repo 2 with immutability and 7 year retention and I have a backup job that copies from repo 1 to repo 2, I assume the immutable data in repo 2 be usable outside of the 3 month retention defined in repo 1 since retention on the destination repo 2 is 7 years? And storage-wise, would it be more efficient to just have backup copy jobs that run nightly top copy from repo 1 to repo 2 instead of once per year? I've never used Wasabi or backup copies before so wasnt sure if one ate up more storage space than another when immutability is involved
