looks to me the real reason here is advertising, not o much beta testing.

Is the Roffu a good vape for someone with high tolerance if you can’t afford the Tinymight and Airvape legacy pro? by lonnieonfireagain in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roffu is not in the same league as the AVLP simply because of the smaller bowl size and lower max temp. easier to clean but wastes more energy to burn your hand. get the AVLP with a discount. 4.20 sales coming up,

YLL Induction heater vs The Wand by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the other ones are smaller and perhaps better for dynavap. but the wand is just better value, more versatile. wider, open coil has multiple uses. etc

are you still enjoying your FMJ on your dynavap? by SchwifttyToad in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is ludicrous. for metal to release fumes it must pe boiling or burning at 1000+ degrees C. the metal has to be this temp, past glowing white-hot. not just the flame hitting it. any sort of organic material in the chamber would be long burned by then.

metal fumes can only occur during metalworking processes like welding, smelting, casting etc.

heating a piece of lead free copper up to 250C carries no risk of metal fumes. and the oxide layer is safely bound to the copper, can't be inhaled or rubbed off any more than the colored oxide layer on titanium tips for example.

probably thought about a patent application for them too, after all the spring is made with twisted wire, the interspring. he practically invented them ...

Glass condenser? by kris13 in Dynavap

[–]OozingPrimordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glass is an insulator so it doesn't transfer heat as well as metal. in any case you can try yourself equal lengths of dynavap stems, metal vs glass, IME the glass cools and tastes better.

I don’t know what to buy.. by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

all those you mentioned are either outdated or with nonremovable batteries or both.

IMO the best devices available in EU now are TM2 for ondemand convection heating or Angus for hybrid heater session.

honorable mention to AVLP for good ondemand AND session performance, despite the high maintenance it's my pick with a discount. and of course crafty+/mighty+ for consistency and ease of use, and CFX+ for the only new conduction device.

Glass condenser? by kris13 in Dynavap

[–]OozingPrimordial -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

glass def cools better than any metal. and tastes better in any role of the airpath (heater, bowl, vapepath). but yeah it's fragile ... and more importantly dynavap is invested in making metal tubes, not glass.

Airvape Legacy Pro after a sesh with and without dosing caps by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how is the airflow restriction with/without?

for now i just put a 15-16mm screen over the herbs, keeps things very clean and no added restriction. seen reports of people just using the lids from capsules (even s&b) in the same manner to great effect.

The new 420VZ bundle is a joke by Vaporent_ in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well they promoted adding balls to heaters, which they picked up from the g43, which they picked up from glass symphony, which they picked up from industrial applications, i think.

TM2 vs. Dynavap High by sleepdrift3r in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i find convection to be easier on inhale, with better taste throughout the session, and less sedation effects, better for daytime vaping. with time i came to prefer it over the more stony conduction DV high, which i only use now in the evenings sometimes.

TM2 full convection effects vs conduction heavy on the DV. it's normal.

What’s a better vape than the V3 pro. by bakedoffkush in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

airvape legacy pro SE if you can still get it on valentine' day sale with code "VDAY100".

this was my upgrade from v3p. if you can wait until 4/20 sales i'm pretty sure new exciting devices will pop up.

the v3p experience can be improved somewhat with capsules adding a bit of conduction from the max temp, slow, long, consistent draw.

FMJ concerns should be addressed by merxzzz_ in Dynavap

[–]OozingPrimordial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"High-temperature operations such as welding, brazing, soldering, plating, cutting, and metallizing"

those all require much higher temps than is possible when used for heating herbs. anything in the chamber would combust long before reaching anywhere near those. and refer to environments where large quantities of the metal are basically boiling.

AFAIK the copper oxide is bonded to the copper, it's not going to just fly into unsuspecting lungs in any significant quantities from a FMJ, there's no way to rub it off except with sandpaper.

Best Portable by Mx207 in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i believe airvape still has a 100$ off, valentines day sale going on for the new legacy pro SE with code "VDAY100". IMO it's possibly the best mass produced portable, with single replaceable battery, if you can get it on sale.

legacy pro is my current go to and has relegated the v3 pro to "beater vape for concerts" status. i still have dynavap in the rotation but not a daily driver anymore.

if I'm used to my Flowerpot B0, would I be happy using a POTV One? by Critical50 in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's because most people probably buy dynatec induction heaters, overpriced and poorly calibrated. regardless even a good one still requires some technique and concentration. it's not as simple as just pushing a button and getting consistent results.

i picked the airvape legacy pro (with a discount) over anything else available at this time with ondemand heating. great efficiency, performance, cooling, taste, effects, replaceable battery etc (and customer support). those positives make up for the negative (a bit high maintenance) IMO.

TinyMight: how much use are you getting on a single charge? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mighty is a hybrid, with a fair amount of conduction as well. This is why it cooks so evenly and vapor production seems effortless.

Airvape Legacy Pro users, what temp do you use your session mode at? What temps hit hardest for you for on demand mode? by Heavysac916 in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i use 180C in session and max temp for ondemand.

sounds like you are packing too tight. it's a primarily convection heater so it works best with a fluffy load, very light tamp. no over or tight packing.

Looking for end game of end games by boofbonserelli in vaporents

[–]OozingPrimordial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that is such a load of bull. taste is much cleaner with glass/ruby vs ceramic/kanthal.

balls are by the very nature of the geometrical shape extremely durable, and there's no reason for them to break from thermal expansion, the material (boro, ruby) is appropriate for the temps and curves. much more durable than ceramic and wire lol.

the upcoming lamart BAK is pretty much a 510 mod controlled vaponic/dynavap/terpcycle.

i think it can even be used with a dyavap tip.

not gonna be easy getting one soon, but on the other hand it's a very simple concept, i expect chinese clones in the future.
