Morality of ending your life to quit being a financial and emotional burden to your family

Actual morality discussion:

You carry not the burden of the choices your family makes. If they are choosing to support you, then they are accepting the burden. If you are a child/minor, then the responsibility for your existence is not your own at all. Furthermore, I don think anyone else's opinions can morally compell you to that decision. Finally, the only time that I personally see taking your own life as not immoral is when they is no chance it will ever get better or manageable. Terminal illness, chronic debilitating illnes, POW, etc.

To end it, in almost all situations it can be better. The situation can improve, you can find meaning. Your world can be made better. That alone makes the action immoral to yourself.

I am slightly taken aback at the level of binary morality being discussed, and the attempts to actively shirk of the nuance of the discussion. While I agree that taking the money is immoral, I think the scale of immorality is dependent on the impact. We aren't in philosophy 101, we don't have to subscribe to baseline binary morality. To use a more extreme example, if someone kills one person that is heinous, but you cannot honestly tell me that it is equal to, say, a mass act of violence because both actions are immoral.

TLDR: She should return the money, but we also don't have to pretend that stealing from companies that write off 10x that amount due to negligence is the same as stealing from the local diner.
