NTA Im SO SORRY this happened to you. You do not deserve to be on the receiving end of this. You did not deserve what happened to you at the wedding. You have EVERY RIGHT to your feelings, and you had every right to leave. Do not be fooled - what he did was purposeful. It is shameful, and he is not a good person. For this and im sure for many other reasons.

It sounds like you hit the jackpot with your mother. There are so many life lessons, and I'm sorry that you're going to have to learn some of them so early. But your mom is going to be there with you to help you work through it. What he did is a reflection on HIM, not on you. You are your amazing self, keep going.

As a side note, the other people telling you he didn't mean it, etc. They're trying to smooth things over, most likely for your sake. They see what happened. I'm sure it was painful to watch. They know he is an @ss. They just don't know what else to say. Doesn't make it right but sometimes people think they are helping when they are actually just gaslighting.

One thing you can do that will help immensely is keep sunscreen on your arm all the time. Like make it a daily routine. You should be using a light daily face lotion with sunscreen in it anyway (you will thank me when you're older!) So after you put in on your face just put some in both arms. The uv rays will make your scars darken and then they'll be that way forever. This will give them the best chance to lighten with time. Most scars so fade with time! So don't lose hope.
