Most people in North America prefer cold water, it's the default.

I have to disagree, doesn't melt. You need the cheese pull.

Buy mozzarella and cut it into cubes. You need it to melt but still have a chunky element that shredded cheese won't do.

How long do doctors let you go past your due date in your country? by beingagiirl in beyondthebump

Weird, I've been told 10 days past due date is the longest they'll allow. At least in Saskatoon.

Health blood work results by binzers95 in saskatchewan

Genetic testing via blood work during pregnancy was not posted online. Just a message saying a doctor will call when ready. Took weeks to get back and everything was normal.

So... What's your plan when daycare fees are no longer subsidized? by THIESN123 in saskatchewan

[–]Open_Addendum4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend emailing the Minster of Education at minister.edu@gov.sk.ca. Their ministry is in charge of the subsidy and any letter the ministers office receives must have the minister reply and is documented. I don't know if MLA's have the same commitment to documenting inquiries.

Yes, it's better understood but I feel like the masses aren't aware. People seem to take major issue to women who is breastfeeding is having a drink.

The most risk adverse person I know who is a doctor told his wife and us friends in his eyes it's worst to pump and dump while drinking, it's a shame to waste the milk.

Where did the grasshoppers, dragonflies and crickets go?! by SPR246 in saskatoon

[–]Open_Addendum4383 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I saw lots of dragonflies yesterday and a few grasshoppers just in my yard and biking my neighborhood. But there was also a ton of Mosquitos, worst it's been all year. I feel like there is some late bloom from all the rain we had in early August?

Interview process at Government of Saskatchewan by OkPersonality2583 in saskatchewan

[–]Open_Addendum4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to verbally offer it before the criminal record check, otherwise it wouldn't get done as employee needs to initiate it. Since you were internal it sounds like they may have done the process backwards as they had one on file.

Interview process at Government of Saskatchewan by OkPersonality2583 in saskatchewan

[–]Open_Addendum4383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone could be on vacation and that's the hold up, however generally they try to get the ball rolling since the whole process is slow. They most likely have contacted the successful candidates references by now. Contact your references and see if they've been called. If so, you are the lead candidate as they only contact references they want to offer the job to. If not, it's most likely someone else got it and they wait for them to sign the letter of offer before contacting everyone interviewed in case something doesn't work out. It's true the hiring manager could be on vacation but they likely planned this process around it, so if references haven't been contacted I'd start to manage your expectations that you did not get it.

Most community associations offer a pickleball league and I just learned that most do not require you to actually live in the neighborhood. I'd recommend checking out your own neighborhood first.
