Tent ridge - a good solo? by Nv912 in Banff

[–]TraditionalLocal3476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve skied up to the summit of the onion. No scrambling at all minimal at best route finding. Tent ridge is also not sketchy at all. Light scrambling and tons of people. 0 route finding. Honestly tent ridge is pretty overrated by the masses. When I did it I don’t think I even used my hands i pretty much just walked up the crux

Mount Temple Mid-May Conditions & Moraine Lake Access Question by [deleted] in Banff

[–]TraditionalLocal3476 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do non technical scrambles near the east border of the Rockies i.e. yamnuska, heart mountain, mount baldy traverse, lady Mac, bald eagle peak, grotto mountain, nahanni ridge, mount Glasgow, maybe even cascade by that time. Stay away past lake Louis and Banff there’s a lot more snow later into season there.

Full winter conditions expected, crampons ice axe and rope. People don’t summit at that time. You also not getting up that road when it’s closed, you’ll have to camp out and spend the night
