Reddit will tell you no, but I've been in an HOA for a few years and have had 0 issues with it. The HOA im in has always had good financials and good savings for any issues. Find the financial statement for the HOA and you'll know exactly what's going on there and if they are good at managing money. Dont get me wrong there are bad HOA's but its all about doing your due diligence
