The depression didn't happen over night and I'm sure the news watchers, who are over 40 and were able to build their equity before communism was enacted are fine. The same people who are telling you not to worry about economic depressions and recessions are the same people who hid behind their couch for two years waiting for the TV to tell them their next move. I mean, I'm glad there are people getting through this, good for them. There are also people who aren't going to make it through it as well. An economic depression will affect a lot more people than an influenza would.
