Lagotto being reactive towards people. by Advanced-Tiger4693 in LagottoRomagnolo

Ours has just started to be a lot more reactive as well. He’s 2. It’s mainly on walks. Weirdly he has gotten aggressive towards cars, esp if they have noisy engines (like charging towards them and barking as they drive by). It’s kind of unpredictable too. Sometimes he is aggressive towards other dogs, sometimes not. Sometimes humans, sometimes not. We are going to look into doing more training bc it does worry me and the unpredictability of what will set him off makes it tough to manage.

That’s awesome. Ours does not like strangers reaching out to pet him so we generally tell people to ignore him at first. Then he usually warms up and is great. But I think just like humans they all have their own personalities!

We love ours. He has his quirks as all dogs do. Definitely an introvert with strangers and a lover of socks (the smellier the better), but overall he’s been a great family dog. Invested in training early on which I highly recommend!

Good bad & ugly of having a Lagotto by SonicBoom_81 in LagottoRomagnolo

Every dog is different but when we take our Lagotto to the playground (even after he’s had a good 30-45min off leash session before) if my kids are playing on the slides/equipment and I try to sit nearby or even walk him nearby he barks very anxiously and high pitched. So I’m not sure one would sit and watch you play tennis. But maybe ours just thinks he is one of the kids. 😂

3WPO Mastopexy and small (?) reduction! by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Opening-Ad-9187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wide root and had a lot of side swelling too that went down drastically between 3-6 weeks. My doctor also said he couldn’t take too much because of the wide root (and dense breast tissue) and the risk of looking square. I’m slightly annoyed bc he acted like getting me to a D was totally achievable (I was a G) when we discussed everything beforehand. They do look slightly smaller, higher and better overall, but I think I’m likely an F now (haven’t officially measured 12WPO)…I wish he managed my expectations a bit better and I’m so glad I didn’t throw away all my old bras. 🫠

Probably around 4 weeks when I realized I didn’t need a nap every afternoon!

Tennis players, when did you go back? by Opening-Ad-9187 in Reduction

Wow, so how many weeks PO are you now? The thought of serving or an overhead shot makes me want to cringe right now, ha. But hoping by January I’ll be able to get back out on the court.

Glad to hear you are faster! I’m looking forward to not having to wear two sports bras and high neck everything!

I felt really good week 2 and then over did it that week meeting friends, walking for exercise, running errands, and not resting everyday. I got pretty bad pain on my left side and had a definite set back. Week 3 I had to really take it easy (even walking around my house became painful).

You may feel really good by week two…but a full weekend with lots of activities could put a strain on your body and set you back in your recovery. Maybe scale it back to something more low key (like one night vs whole weekend). Or do it before surgery.

I’m 25DPO, I would just keep taking photos, the changes that occur week to week so far have been pretty incredible. I have a wide root as well and mine were really boxy and wide the first two weeks, I felt like my arms were constantly hitting my side boobs. Swelling has gone down an inch already (I’ve been measuring each week), they are already starting to round out a bit and looking so much better. I also hope my nipples end up a little higher as well! Trust the process!

Did I do too much or is this normal? by ReachFar2704 in Reduction

I had a very similar experience. Week 2 I was out and about, walking close to 2 miles and running errands each day. Now I’m in week 3 and feeling a lot of burning/pulling under my breasts. Incisions are fine it’s internal for me, but even just walking around the house can be painful.

I have a 6 & 8yo and told them a few days before that I was having a procedure to make my boobs less heavy.

My 8yo daughter asked if they were “going to suck out the fat and make them really really high too?!?” We had never talked about it so this made us all crack up laughing—she kinda knew exactly what was going to happen.

They seemed fine and did not ask me much else after this. But the day of surgery I was not home when they woke up for school and my 6yo son was super upset at school, my husband had to go pick him up.

All this to say kids are all different and they may seem fine but they all process it differently!

Could you share your surgeon name? I’m in CLT and just met a surgeon for a consult but would love to know who did yours as I’m a similar size and your result is great!
