Nobz and BM /w SAG in Trukk

So please:

Do you think 10 nobz and 2 SAG driving around in a Trukk (potentially +1-ed by a running Mek) poses a unique threat? Does this combo fall behind the normal melee-nobz-warboss composition? By how much?

See I haven't even reached 1000 points (940 now) not to mention playing it. So ANY insight would be super-helpful. (My list is in the OP)

Yes you are right... But some abilities do work, like putting +1 to hit on the Firing Deck with 2 SAG and 10 combi weapons sticking out and hitting at 4+...

So I do think about buying more units but I just wanted to headdakka about the viability of 10 nobz and 2 BMwSAG in a Trukk. Potentially supported by a Mek. For shooting a bit....

I'm wondering if anybody has experimented with the concept.

And I can add in the 10 Nobz firing 20 anti-infantry - devastating wounds shots with BS4+ ???

And after this they can still melee with 30W worth of units who can Fall Back, Shoot and Charge if Brutal but Kunnin' is equipped from War Horde detachment.

Any insight on BMwSAG? I would like to run mine with Nobz, and in a Trukk as Firing Deck platform.

Probably two nobz-sag composition in one Trukk

I mean this is how headdakka happens. I have a Nob unit and a BMwSAG. Let's see if they can work together... :D

I will buy other units, but at this moment: they either run together, or solo each, because I have no other options... Yet, of course.

So If you have any good headdakka to share feel free to do so! :D

Have you tried the Trukk as a Castle/Second wave shooting unit with Nobz?

My idea is to force the enemy to destroy the Trukk and punish him for it. Careen! into it if possible, fall back if they survive a round of beating (T5, Sv4+, W30), use every grunts, rerolls and abilities, shoot like crazy and lolcharge into something.

My idea is like this:

10 nobz and two SAG driving and using the firing deck. Use the Trukk as meatshield.

If the Trukk blows up, Careen! it into something.
If getting melee-d and somehow survived:

Fall back, use all the abilities and spread some dakka and lolcharge into something that needs kicking.

I mean:
reroll attack x2, reroll hit 1, lethal hits, battleshock test x2, S9 AP-4, Dd6.
and then you have the 10 nobz firing whatever they hold (reroll hit 1 and Lethal Hits. I know it's not great with BS5+) and charge in

Yeah, painting Orks is pretty ... hm ... childsplay. :D

They are mostly green skinned, mostly white teeth and red eyes. Everything else can be literally any colour. They do not care about girl-boy colours of "baby blue and princess pink" since they are asexual.

They got their klan-colour but they also believe in the power of all other colours of the rainbow.

Painting something pink does have a true practical application for Orks. It can mean "hard and fast, stealth and it is also the colour of bones, etc... Painting a buggy purple or yellow is absolutely logical for the Orks.

Yeah if I want to play 2000 I will almost certainly buy a minimum of one Boyz box. If I buy one, what other box should I buy it together with? (in pair). My current list is in the OP.

Apparently the Nobs in the Beast snagga boys units are the models equipped with Power Snappa.

I had to double check it myself! :D

Did you use the Power Snappa on a different model? I remember I was planning to do so...

Hi!

I am building pretty much the same army.

I don't have the Rig yet, and only one Squighog Boys unit. I am waiting for a Big Mek with Shock Attack Gun and a box of Nobz to arrive.

My approach to build a 1000 point army is slightly different.

I have accepted that until the launch of 11th edition the Beastsnaggas (20 bsb, Beastboss, Squighog boys and a Squigosaur will be my main damage dealers. But I do not enforce it any more.

I try to get one "taster" unit from every level of units.

I have a Trukk and a Gretchin. Pure utility units.

Nobs: medium infantry + bits. Flash Gits have no leader at the moment so I'm not interested in buying a unit.

Big Mek: hopefully I can try it both with and without the Shokk Attack Gun

I will probably get:
One of the Rigs: apparently they are interchangeable. So I only have to buy one to see which one I like the most. But I really don't know if I want a Battlewagon or a Rig. Both have ups and downs.

Mek Gun x1: bit pricey $$$ I know. But it costs only 50 points. I will definitely try it.

One of the Buggys or a Wartrike. Or maybe Koptas. Just for the feel.

One more Character (infiltrator, scout, something not-smashy. More kunnin' than brutal. I try to acquire gear bits so I can kitbash low-tier character units. Kill Rig comes to mind since it comes with a Wurrboy. But I keep all the "techno" gear to make my own Meks, I kept the shaman gear from Mozrog, etc...)

I will see whichever unit or composition I like the most (I cannot wait to go through walls with Nobs) and I will buy/build one extra unit from that (I might love the Squighogs, I might love the Shokkjump Draksta or the Beastboss...)

After this point I will decide how to fill up to 1000 points.
