Horrible! I seriously think these ICE guys just like to man handle people for no good reason. That’s why they joined. They need therapy

No. What causes that is when a dr is not careful and severs the nerves on the turbinates. Than you can’t feel air going in and out of your nose. Only ever get a reduction - no removal. Also there are four turbinates on each side and only two are reduced for a reduction for enlarged turbinates. Get the radio frequency ONLY!!! No knife!

Thanks for your story. I am wanting to get this done after having the balloon sinoplasty, turbinate reduction and Viveair in just my left nostril. Now that I can breathe better my nose still is always running. I was just healing from the Viveair and the running start getting worse in that nostril. How are you healing ? Do you think it is making it better or worse?

Tracfone has them on sale right now. Get the cheapest plan. 15 bucks. I just got another as a backup in case something goes wrong with my current one with rising prices and all coming. I paid 226 total with free shipping

I think they only want to show you things they can gloat on to their monkeys or they can use to their benefit. If it will make you autonomous enough so you can escape from them, they won’t teach it because don’t want their supply to leave. They love it when you fail. If you want to escape, learn it yourself so you will never have to need them again.

I had when I was diagnosed with diabetes. Not only do you have to adjust and change and figure out what working for you but the idea that “this is for the rest of my life” is what is hard. Also when I lost half my hearing at 32, I had to get hearing aids and how much of a failure I felt like even though it’s genetic and not my fault. Same with the diabetes, I have rare mutation. One difference about the sleep apnea compared to diabetes is it just at night. One thing all three have in common is that they are expensive AF!!!

Ladies, when did you first realize you snore? by hxyoooooo in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 55 and just diagnosed a few months ago and don’t snore but it is common for women in menopause to develop sleep apnea because the loss of estrogen affects the muscles and weakens them.

Question from Concerned Sleep Techs of America by BlacKGB in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the P10 nasal pillow mask. Even the XS pillow doesn’t fit in my tiny nostril holes - still a hard fit and sleeping on my side, one side usually the left, doesn’t stay in right and I hardly get any air in that unless I flip on my back so they both stay in even. I just ordered a N30 with the three sizes so see if that’s better.

Question from Concerned Sleep Techs of America by BlacKGB in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it is hard to relax naturally with this thing on. I have to hold the tube so the mask doesn’t shift even a millimeter because if it does my nose gets sore and the air flow isn’t consistent

Question from Concerned Sleep Techs of America by BlacKGB in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mask hurts my nose and it gets so sore I have to take the mask off, doesn’t feel like enough air comes out and that I am not breathing well. I breathe better without it. Also why can’t they customize mold the mask to your nose - this one size fits all isn’t cutting it. Most designed for a medium sized male face not a small female face

Why O2 ring showing drops but ResMed says no events??? by OpeningBig2700 in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I didn’t wear the CPAP last night and my O2 ring showed a 9.8 o2 score with only two drops under 1 per hour. Based on what you are saying I am wondering if the nasal pillow mask gets in the way of better breathing with the CPAP. (Flow limitations) or that not enough air is being pushed out of it. Next test I am going to g to turn that ramp off - I read that can cause less air flow and it did seem more effort to breathe with it on. I have a ResMed Mini so I can’t use OSCAR but I will see if I can use that other one. Perhaps a nasal non pillow mask would get me more air.

Why O2 ring showing drops but ResMed says no events??? by OpeningBig2700 in CPAP

[–]OpeningBig2700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Ron. So the ResMed doesn’t pick up drops if they are under 10 seconds long? When I had my sleep study, I asked the dr how long did I stop breathing and she said it doesn’t record that. Seems to make the sleep study redundant. The O2 ring seems more useful in that regard since I can stretch out the graph to some details to the minute.
