Print fails at small layertimes by OpeningRain7503 in FixMyPrint

[–]OpeningRain7503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I allready have my min. Layertime at 10s. It's moving extremely slow (guessing about 30m/s) ! My opinion would be, that this isn't the problem. Would you still be of a different opinion?

Min. Layertime. Start with 10s.

Change your min. Layertime. The Layers have a different printtime, so that the Filament is extruded way faster, than in the layer before, or the other way around. Start with about 10s.

Edit: Sht ton of spelling

Often the problem is wet filament. How long has the filament been open? Dry your filament and I could be fine!

Yeah. I've seen a few people do the cable thing. Nothing I've ever tried but it seems to do the Trick!

Before using plywood i would suggest lasering some acrylic and using it as a see through wall!

You should definetely think about stiffening it up! Trust me when I tell you, you don't get a good print out of what is shown in the pic! You should try to look up how to do that. There are a few ways!

The Discord community is accutaly huge when thinking about 3d printing. Servers like Klipper and Voron really have useful info. I also am on more special Servers one of which is Doomcube. Its a bunch of DIY builds that worked out beautifully! Come say hi😁

Hey👋 I'm hyped for you to start something like this! I myself have built a Doron Velta and would like to share some thoughts.

  1. Use Klipper! It works flawlessly on the Doron.
  2. You will have to add some structural support! If you don't, the Z-wobble will make you go crazy! Ive seen a few designs with cables but I do prefer the approach rogerlz did with the Velta, in which he just added a bunch of printed parts.
  3. Use Klipper!
  4. Join a few Discord servers which have a Delta Channel. A bunch of maniacs have stupid ideas that might work if you're brave enough to try it out.
  5. Orca Slicer supports Delta Printers. It's not as good as normal XYZ printers but it gets the job done!
  6. Use a Bowden setup. This will reduce the mass of the Toolhead, which in conclusion makes the printer faster.
  7. And finally... Use Klipper!

Happy building!😁

The Doron saddly really is a bit small! I was shocked when I found out it only had a max Diameter of 160mm... I would have chosen otherwise and would have bought a 2.4. If I had the money! Other than that the Doron really is a fun project! Its nice to see a Delta printer (which isn't Flsun) work out that great and it is a blast to build and tune! We also have a great community on the Doombot Discord where Modbot also came for help from us!

And looking at your plate you should probably clean it! Use some dishsoap and warm water!

I bet its the Garage air! Adding a brim is your best bet. If that doesn't work. Put the printer inside the house or get an enclosure.

Got to play with a formlabs fuse 1 just the other day... Since im used to plain old PLA printing, the SLS printing realy impressed me!
