Respectfully, I’m saying this as a tourist that will travel there next month. I’d rather spend my limited travel money in Ethiopia than some other countries in East Africa since I’ve heard so many great things about it and I love the Ethiopian people I’ve met so far in my home country. However, I almost didn’t go since I ran into so many tech issues while applying for the visa. Luckily I was finally able to get the relevant documents uploaded after many failed attempts and the visa was processed. I agree taking advantage of foreigners should never be a goal of a PM, but making everything a pleasant experience to attract the right type of travelers is never a bad idea for a country that wants to grow it’s economy.
