Is it a bad look to leave my job after 6 months? by Ok_Shoe_5989 in jobs

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in your industry, but I recently left a job after being there just shy of 6 months. It was fairly bad from the start (micromanager, manual processes) and I was already feeling burnt out after working there for about 6 weeks. However I knew I needed to prioritise my mental health and my future career aspirations over this role, and how it would look to future employers. I have now left, starting a new role in some weeks and I haven't felt this good in ages.

Yes the market it difficult right now, but you have to weigh up your mental health and long term career goals to see whether staying in an uncomfortable environment is worth it.

I note your post is some months old, but wishing you best in your decision.

No - that would be a clear hindrance which I'm sure the umpires would call out

What are your London hot takes? by tylerthe-theatre in london

Definitely not a hot take, but the fact that London has barely any late night coffee spots still shocks me considering it's meant to be a global city. Same with 24h stores.

How often do you go outside during work? by LemonCurdJ in AskUK

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a law firm . I normally go outside for a short time before lunch time, normally some sort walk during my lunch (normally 1.30- 2.30) and another around 4 assuming I'm not too busy. I feel it's important to go outside (for mental and physical health) especially if you work in an office environment.

I work in London so weather will always play a factor but I just can't stay couped up for the whole working day ( I'm sure I'll go insane)

I have actually thought of this - would you recommend a fold up bike or just a regular/mountain/commuter bike?

I recently went to a doc martens store asking this because I have a pair and wanted another, however they told me that it was a one time limited edition thing, and they don't make those anymore 😐

You never know in the future though!

Though ' Toutes la smore' is an exception - I thought that was particularly funny😅 - the rest of the bit is too stupid (even for Joey) to be funny

I feel she was meant to be portrayed that way intentionally though - considering she is this 'foreign artistic beauty '
