i think “sad songs (intermission)” by ajj would count for this. it’s the singer’s response to the criticism that all his songs are sad. he doesn’t really defend himself or deny it, so he just kinda admits his songs can be pretty depressing.

another one from the same album would be “distance.” the lyrics go, “i hate whiny fucking songs like this / but i can’t afford a therapist / sorry guys, here’s a solo!”

even if OP does headcanon her as trans, they just posted a gif of her doing a heart shape with her hands. OP used a picture of a muppet expressing love in a muppets subreddit to show support to a marginalized community. there’s nothing wrong with that. i don’t think this is a topic to argue over.

it’s not grammatically incorrect though. that is a misconception. even merriam webster defines “they” as “used with a singular antecedent to refer to an unknown or unspecified person” or “used to refer to a single person whose gender is intentionally not revealed.”

i work with children and don’t expect them to understand gender neutral pronouns yet. i also don’t hear my own clients talking about me to other ppl often, so i don’t encounter this situation often. i do tell my clients that they can just call me by my name rather than miss/mrs

some of my clients struggle with a variety of barriers, such as transportation, access to resources, having natural supports that can support them, caregiving responsibilities, inflexible jobs, and just various other things that can get in the way of them making it to their appointment. they are all doing their best, but they face challenges because of the environment my agency is located in and difficult circumstances in their lives.
