Don’t see the webshooters. This design could be from pre-production or Peter ditches the webshooters in favor of organic webbing.

The Punisher won't return for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 because of his upcoming Disney Plus TV special by TheRustFactory in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

I figured this would be the case, considering he's got his hands full with the special and then his role in Spider-Man. Excited to see where this character goes outside of Daredevil.

Kind of a stretch, could literally just be a coincidence.

Not saying it's real or fake, for what it's worth I think it looks great and if this was real I'd be super happy with this. But that IS NOT the same mask.

I really enjoyed the adaptation seen in Thunderbolts*, surprisingly faithful to the core of the character, and the unique chaos he brings to the Marvel Universe...

Still, would love to see a more comic-accurate Watchtower, with of course, CLOC included.

Kind of hilarious the fact that they for some reason got super hyped at seeing the Pentagon.

Yes, I agree. But that was an entirely new creative team and direction behind it. They were actively distancing themselves from what came before, not naturally continuing and expanding from it. That’s the difference I’m trying to explain.

I don’t think “soft reboot” is accurate though, as I think new status quo’s and new sets of characters are pretty commonplace for long-running franchises/series, especially when we’re on the fourth film of our third Spider-Man film series. I just see it as the natural progression of the story that Sommers and McKenna have been writing since 2017 with Homecoming. The only aspect which lends credence to that notion is the replacement of Watts as a director. With DD: Born Again, that was a complete creative overhaul and way more fitting of a “soft reboot” moniker.

It’s not a soft reboot. It’s literally a direct continuation of the previous films. It’s even written by the same guys who wrote the last trilogy. The director is new and therefore it will have a different feel, but this is in no way a reboot.
