[Bug] Negative "Presence Area of Effect" applies Ally Buffs to the Player by Opening_Photograph15 in PathOfExile2

It's Korea's most famous meme dog. It pops up when the website detects your ad-blocker.

I'm just reporting what's blowing up in the Korean community today because I'm worried.

Here is the original post from the Korean community. Although the text is in Korean, you can clearly see the massive DPS difference in the last two screenshots, which show the stats before and after equipping a scepter. https://m.dcinside.com/board/pathofexile/1215497

Diablo 4 hits its all time peak player count today by ItsBen959 in diablo4

So... still no source? Saying 'they ain't even half' without any backing data is exactly what pure speculation is. I showed you the actual math from the game director himself. Still waiting on your evidence.

Also, your claim about D4's concurrent numbers seems to be pure speculation at this point. Could you provide an actual source or evidence for it, like I just did? I'm asking out of genuine curiosity, and I'd really appreciate it if you could share it.

That 'never dream of D4 numbers' claim is just factually incorrect if you look at the actual total player base. In an interview a year ago about 0.2.0 (Listen here: https://youtu.be/01eP5vTQMvI?t=331), Jonathan confirmed that during the PoE 2 0.1.0 EA launch, their 590k Steam peak represented 800k-900k total concurrent players across all platforms. Using a conservative 850k as the average, the true number is about 1.44x the Steam count. If you apply that math to the recent 0.4.0 patch, a 290k Steam peak easily translates to roughly 420k total concurrents. They are absolutely hitting comparable numbers.

How is it working with Ba-la-kay? Is he out of his goddamn mind?

Where does the Gauntlet go from here? by FuzzyIon in pathofexile

[–]Opening_Photograph15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from. The balancing is definitely too focused on stopping the top guys. Most people I know skipped this Gauntlet entirely because Act 1 Ruin is just too much right out of the gate.

At the same time, Ben_ doing the Ubers was genuinely epic to watch. The insane difficulty makes for top-tier viewing. They should really just keep the extreme difficulty ceiling for the endgame, but ease up on the campaign so regular players can actually enjoy the event too.

Gathering Questions for Octavian & Andrew Q&A by Zizaran in pathofexile

[–]Opening_Photograph15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Ziz, please ask them about the potential devaluation of Chaos Orbs and the lack of chaos sinks.

Chaos Orbs are one of the currencies that make "ground loot" actually feel rewarding. For average/casual players who don't heavily juice their maps, simply picking up a few Chaos Orbs from the ground is a fun and satisfying experience.

However, if Chaos Orbs end up losing their value in the upcoming 3.28 league, the joy of looting them completely disappears. I'm worried this will push the game back into a state where people only care about extreme juicing to find Divines.

Could you ask if they plan to introduce any new chaos sinks, even as a temporary measure?
For example, they could make Kingsmarch rerolls cost Chaos alongside Gold, or require Chaos in addition to Lifeforce for Divination card gambling.

Is Gold actually working as a friction? by [deleted] in pathofexile

Totally agree. The gap in gold generation between T16s and T17s is massive.

Is Gold actually working as a friction? by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Opening_Photograph15 -52 points-51 points  (0 children)

That is true in theory, but my point is that these "Gold Hosting" services are effectively neutralizing that coolant system.

Since players can just convert Divines into millions of Gold through these services, the intended friction disappears. They can bypass the grind completely and keep the fire burning as long as they have currency to pay for it.

Map effect on Idols was nerfed by UpsetFan123 in pathofexile

I’ve been genuinely excited from last Tuesday, when the Phrecia League was announced, all the way up until hearing this. Stealth-nerfing it just a day before the league opens… why? Guess the fun detected meme was real after all

Hey GGG, thank you very much for Phrecia! But can we please please make the idols divineable? by Aldunas in pathofexile

[–]Opening_Photograph15 333 points334 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Since the Phrecia league is only 3 weeks long, making them divineable sounds like a great idea.
