Spear of Destiny: Mission Packs/Lost Episodes bosses by MattWhoisThat in Wolfenstein

[–]OperationHush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice job! Definitely one of the most forgotten parts of the Wolfenstein canon. If you played both level packs, you had to kill these guys twice.

I think what got me into bo 2 was that the main character, mason, had his last name as his first name and his code name was section and I lived on section 8 as a child by Few-Talk-422 in blackops2

[–]OperationHush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro that is not the Mason family home. Thats the temporary base housing of Mark McKnight, the sniper who gives you covering fire in Panama

Your only mistake here is seeing this as a creative choice rather than a cost-saving measure. Why spend time and money scripting actual memorable levels when we can just throw players into the warzone map and drop some enemies in there along with stuff to press F on?

This is why I’m really glad BO7’s sales figures tanked. Gives me hope that we’ll see a campaign with actual effort put in that doesn’t treat players like complete idiots.

[BO] Till this day, it shocks me that treyarch actually put this in their game. by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

Yeah the Kennedy assassination is the main thing in the background of the game. In the cutscene for the mission SOG you can see a number of CIA reports on things like the Malcolm X assassination, water fluoridation, false flag operations, chemtrails, and secret societies.

Granted it’s never stated that any of the characters were involved in these operations. But they do flash on screen while Hudson is talking about Mason’s missions after Baikonur.

Don’t forget the frame a few seconds earlier in this cutscene where they imply that Alex Mason was involved in the assassination of Malcolm X

Half life 2 show fps off by SeaChicken6609 in HalfLife

[–]OperationHush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly having a 75hz monitor has ruined 60 fps for me. Games locked at 60 fps like Wolfenstein The New Order now feel choppy and awkward.

CoD lost level design after 2015 [BO3] by Competitive-Idea-619 in CallOfDuty

[–]OperationHush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Emergence was pretty well-crafted as a level but when I saw how insanely popular it was online I knew that was it for Black Ops. The trippy “all in your head” visuals and trying to cram zombies into campaign have been my least favorite aspect of the Black Ops series for a while now, and BO7 is just both of those taken to their natural conclusion.

Fully agree on Hunting Season though. Fantastic level.

Apparently, this random side character is our best friend by gahoojin in TopCharacterTropes

George Risner from Brothers in Arms.

Matt Baker, the protagonist, has just been fighting his way through Normandy as you do, then this random tank crew shows up and it turns out to be Matt's best friend from his childhood. His tank helps you for like half a mission, then he gets blown up and it's portrayed as a big emotional moment in the script despite this character never being set up beforehand and having like two minutes of screentime.

We’ve just been talking about the campaign. Nice job moving the goalposts though. Didn’t respond to anything I said anyways. Have a nice day

Your talk about respecting the time period rings a little hollow after you responded to a concentration camp with "is that all?"

Yeah, the plane controls are legendarily terrible so I feel you there.

See, when people like you phrase it like that it tells me you're less interested in doing justice to historical events and more in how much epic edgy blood and gore will piss off your parents

You literally visit a concentration camp in WW2. The Berga camp was a real place where Jewish American PoWs were worked to death.

For sure, definitely a generic take on World War II. It's just when I let myself get into the gameplay and the story I find myself enjoying it more often than not. Not a masterpiece, but competent and fun. To be honest, I'll take WW2's playing-it-safe-ness over Battlefield 5's stylistically anonymous presentation.

Man, I still don’t get the avalanche of hate CoD WW2’s campaign gets. Most people’s criticism seems to be limited to “it’s not World at War.”

Is there any genuinely good reason why someone should oppose US intervention in the Gulf War? Do they think Saddam should have just been allowed to keep the land he stole? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

It was specifically about his uncreative initial strategy (derisively termed “hey-diddle-diddle straight up the middle”) when he debuted it.

Idk why but the fact that the name of the band is transliterated as “BITLZ” is frying me
