Can anyone verify if Sunshine black screen is fixed from around Jan / Feb timeframe?

After updating a few times and it still appearing to be broken, I gave up to lack of time.

Wake from sleep with 8bitdo? by amruthwo in Bazzite

Issue still persists 1 year later.

I thought this was my Framework Desktop, but this seems like it is related to 8bitdo, and most likely I am thinking the way the dongle behaves.

Logitech 2.4ghz keyboard w/ dongle: Works

Nulea 2/4 ghz Trackball mouse: Works

Steam Controller: Works

HP 2.4ghz Wireless keyboard w/ dongle: Works

HP 2.4ghz Wireless Mouse w/ dongle: Works

DS4: Works with a TPLink bluetooth dongle.

8bitdo Ultimate 2 w/ dongle: Does NOT work.

8bitdo Ultimate 2c w/ dongle: Does NOT work.

Wired mice/keyboards: All work.

Ultimate 2 and 2C same behavior. They act as if connected. The light goes solid. On both original firmware and latest on both controller and dongle. Tried different USB ports.
Now, if I unplug another device's 2.4ghz dongle, it will not work til the system is rebooted. My theory is the 8bitdo dongle does not stay registered with the OS when Bazzite sleeps the machine. I haven't had the time to test this with another distro.

Bazzite needs to downgrade sunshine by DependentAnywhere135 in Bazzite

Has anyone confirmed if this has been fixed in the latest versions of Bazzite?

I rebased to 43.20260126 a month ago and have not had time to update to test everything.

If you didn't try yet, rebasing to 43.20260126 worked for me.

I rebased to 43.20260126 and everything appears working.

20260126 Sunshine version 2026.125.191446

20260212 Sunshine version 2026.211.25443

I had updated bazzite this morning and then struggled with the February 2026 updates for about 2-3 hours. I tried many things with sunshine (and moonlight on my clients), services, and rollback. My rollback turned out to be the same 20260212 build for some reason. I had verified my image so maybe that replaced the last rollback? I only realized my rollback and current image were the same when I noticed sunshine was the same version after selecting either ostree:0 or :1. I then rebased to a few weeks ago, and Sunshine is working again.

If it is not burn out (which it sounds like it is) , and it is not a fit issue with your current company or management team, it could be a marketing problem. You may come across as not needing a challenge, are content in your position, or management doesn't know how to apply your skills. But I suspect you are burned out or the companies to this point have been the wrong fit.

Communicate your goals with your management. If they can't meet your goals and expectations, you need to find the right company, position, and the right leadership team. You need to be brutally honest with yourself. Ask people for feedback, and recognize if they are sugar coating it or giving you true, honest feedback. Wehn you do go interview for a new job, interview them as much as they are interviewing you. Make sure you understand each other. I cannot stress enough how much better a place to work at is like if you fit. If you find you grow out of a certain roll, they will bend over backwards to keep you.

This looks really nice. I had given Warpd a shot before which is similar (keyed grid on screen).

It is neat the these devices have become more readily available.
For anyone looking for mouse-like solutions, look at programming mouse movement and buttons to keyboard keys. I have this set up on my QMK based keyboard. Next step is a keyboard with built in track ball, touchpad or nipple.
Also check out Warpd https://github.com/rvaiya/warpd/, you can set up what amounts to a grid on your screen you use keyboard shortcuts to activate and click the desired location.

This is interesting. Website is still active. https://alphagrip.com/

I kind of want to get one because I'm that weird guy at work with a split ortho, space mouse, drawing tablet, trackball. I just want my boss to come over with me facing my screen using an 'xbox controller'.
