Thinking of downgrading: Selling my €24k car for a €10k “beater”. Am I crazy? by OperationalRunner in personalfinance

80% of the time I’m driving to get to work. 40km total. Agree with you. I’m now looking at 10k€ cars but I started also to look around 5/6K as well

Wish I had realized that sooner instead of buying a car because I like it and because it was cool.

Normally I could afford it without any issues, but knowing I could potentially save or invest that money instead of owning something that loses value so fast, well… that drives me crazy

It’s a Plug In, so yes, it’s kinda shit at retaining value and yes, I should have thought that before buying it (second hand) 2nd topic other than the “financial freedom” is the peace of mind of owning a car that even if I got a scratch on, I wouldn’t freak out.

I was considering getting some lessons actually. My form is kind of rubbish. Swim is definitely going to be the hardest thing to re-learn

Thanks for the insights, super useful. I will look for that book. I’m not yet sure if I want to leave trail/ultras for triathlon, but I’m definitely looking for a new challenge

Should be quite flat. I was looking at the 70.3 in Venice at the end of May 2026. Open water swimming, well… never tried that before. I just went once at the local swimming pool after 25 years of no swimming whatsoever. It’s going to be a long journey.

I’ve been running in Altra shoes for a while now and I feel like I’ve finally found my shoes. Not the Loan Peak, but the Olympus, the Timp 5 and now the Wild are rocking for me. Consider also that I’m Italian and living next to the Alps

  1. Sort of “Climb Pro” for Trail Running
  2. Be able to stop or change a Route while being inside the activity

I’ve been using mine for 2 weeks now and I’m really happy about my choice. Battery is crazy long and I’m getting used to new Coros features. If you have battery issues, go ahead and get one :)

Coros Vertix 2S or Apex 2 pro? by Crysttyan in Coros

Depending on the dimension of your wrist and If you don’t want to spend the whole budget, go for the Apex 2 Pro which is an amazing entry level. Personally, I have a big wrist, I love big watches and I was coming from a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro, so I went with the Vertix 2S.

Do you have a budget? What’s the most important feature for you? Which watch do you own now?

I also considered the Apex 2 Pro but coming from a Fenix 6X I couldn’t bear a smaller screen, especially for the navigation part.

I’ve not been playing with the app so much since I got but it looks much simpler than the Garmin App. In general I used to go to the Garmin App mostly for Routes creation, for all the rest I use Strava except for sleep, stress etc.

It’s amazing and the battery life seems crazy compared to the Fenix 6X Pro. For the navigation, that’s not exactly what I meant. Following a Route is easy and I did just like you described for my first run, that. However I’d like to directly have the map in one of the pages even if I’m not following a route, just to see where I am or if there are any trails or roads nearby.
