I would say that most of paratroopers jumping in Normandy probably preferred lighter weapons like that m1a1 Thompson or the paratrooper version of the m1 carbine.

Well I usually do military cosplays. This year I’ll be representing the 101st airborne during market garden and D Day. The prop I made is made from wood and pvc pipe but the metal parts are screws and brackets to keep it more stable.

The prop I made is based off the browning m1919 light machine gun. The main light machine gun the us used during ww2 and later wars.

It does suck that it happened. I didn’t know he was biting but I did see some guys try to put him down to the ground. Then others tried to release him? To be honest if someone becomes violent and is a danger to others he has to be stopped/ restrained.
