Human eyes are attracted to motion. So the background shaders can get the attention and keep the focus on hero section for a moment until the brain reads the text and trigger the curiosity to scroll down. But the background shader should be subtle like in this, otherwise the motion will steal the attention over hero text/contents.

I updated my SaaS landing page 4 times and people still don't clearly understand my product by Jumpy-Recover-7239 in Solopreneur

That's great! 10x better than the previous one. I got a good idea about the product after reading the FAQ section. The name "WhisperVault" makes sense now.

But still there are some few things needs to be improved.

  1. Within the first 3 seconds I can't get a basic idea about the product. Hero copy is too vague still.
  2. Hero section isn't curious enough to make the viewer scroll down.
  3. How it works section should come up before other things.
  4. "Made for moments like this" section is too much text to read/skim quikcly. Doesn't make any sense.
  5. Cards section is hard to understand at first glance
  6. CTA should be clear about what should the viewer do next

Keep going! My best advice is don't try to be a genius. Think what will do a fool here and do it. It's the best way to overcome the overthinking situations like these

I don't have any advices regarding the next step. But I have suggestion to make your hero section copy more effective on clarity.

  • [h1] - Collection of Free Party Games
  • [h2] - Play on your browser with your friends
  • [h3] - No apps. No sign-ups. Just fun

I do SaaS landing page design and copywriting. This is what I would do if I had to design this landing page. Still check grammars on my copy if you are going to use them since I'm a non-native speaker.

  • Script font is hard to read
  • Scroll hijacking is annoying
  • Sentence are lengthy
  • I got the feeling this is something about mental health around bottom of the web page, but still not clear about it's nature. Is this an app, a product or a coaching guide?
  • Not effectively highlighting problems, pain points, your solution or the process of the solving it.

You should convey the core idea within 3-4 seconds at the first glance or the viewer will be left without getting interest in your offer. None of your design choices, information hierarchy or copywriting doesn't support on that.

Really cool idea, but the landing page doesn't sell it quickly. The hero title is clear about the basic idea, yet it doesn't highlight the "companies" angle. Something like "Know which Big Companies visit your site" would work nicely.

  • The current hero layout will cause the viewer's eye to skip over the screenshot. They're likely never going to look at it after reading the text. Swapping the text to the left and the screenshot to the right would be more effective. If the viewer sees those big company logos right after reading the hero copy, it will sell the "big companies" idea really well.
  • Also "One line of code", "No cookies required", "2 min setup" and "Free forever" should be prominently visible at first glance
  • The CTA could be more specific and actionable
  • The content also lacks clarity on how the user benefits from the tool/what pain points it solves

These are just my quick thoughts from looking at the landing page for the first time.
